Center Shaun O'Hara visiting Dolphins

old doesn't equal bad. Kevin Mawae was still a very good center late into his 30's.

But O'Hara is probably more of a locker room signing/mentor for the young interior guys

So he is here for depth you think?

I'm just saying I would hope so, don't tell me we drafted a guard @ 15...

Agree with Nub. Think this will be more of a depth signing.

While I think the potential signing would be as depth, don't forget that O'Hara has been selected to the past three Pro Bowls. He is no bum.

Definitely not a bum, but I believe he tore something last season and he would have to prove he is fully healed from injury. Tough for a 34 year old 300 pounder to bounce back easily from something like that.

if you do bring in ohara and he's healthy and ready to contribute for gods sakes move pouncey to left damn guard...we got a natural left guard fit playing center in pouncey and a center playing left guard in incognito...both guys playing out of position

wake up

My biggest concern is Incogs at LG . . . he was very pedastrian when asked to pull last year but showed his strength at C from the POA . . . right guard seems like a better fit where he can be a mauler but LG just seems very meh IMO. Much rather Nate Garner at LG over Incogs, Pouncey over them all.

incog blows at left guard...he's ok when he has a straight ahead target but on the move terrible...ideally he's a backup swing lineman who can play right guard and center and in dire straights man the left guard in a pinch

bottom line though is if he's starting in your oline you should always be lookin to replace him...if possible

it would be nice if john jerry and nate garner would step the heck up in camp and incog could grab some bench

Long
Pouncey
O'Hara
Jerry
Carey

That seems better. I think they'd be asking too much of Pouncey to line up at C week 1 against Wilfork/Haynesworth and be making line calls with only 3 weeks of having the playbook.

I would like to actually see Garner replace Carey or Jerry.

oharas dicey also though...long in the tooth and of late unable to stay healthy...definitely not someone i'd depend on for 16 games at this point of his career

I dont want O'Hara. We have done this before where we sign FA injury prone O'linemen then we struggle for consistancy. I want........... Long-Pouncey-Incognito-Jerry-Carey. I think Incognito was better at Centre last year, especially in a 3-4 division, lining up directly opposite a NT. Most experts believe Pouncey is a better Gaurd, so why force square pegs in round holes. I also like Nate Garner if he comes back healthy, who can challenge all along the line, Berger although not the best starter, is a very good interior back up and Murtha & Mcquistan also saw playing time last year, that is enough depth for me.

Ray Feinga has been taking all the first team snaps at RG, Jerry is 2nd string.
