Chad Henne Really Isn't Any Better So Far

We are past Henne and his play or lack there-of has been dissected more than a frog in middle school. Bigger problems are we cannot stop anybody at anytime or anywhere. We have a Coach that would get out matched in clock management at your local midget league on any given Saturday morning and a owner who obviously hates the City of Mia & all its fans.

Henne?...Please...I wish he was the only problem right now & he will make some lucky team a heck of a backup one day with all the experience afforded him under Ross/Ireland/Sparano.

Where do you see anyone making the argument that Henne is the problem?

Folks, if you're going to respond to the original post in a thread, it may help if you make sure you understand it first, rather than understanding only what your own mind is saying to you.

Your words..."Chad Henne Really Isn't Any Better So Far "

Now to my eyes & my mind to say "Chad Henne Really Isn't Any Better So Far " is akin to saying "Chad Henne Really Suxs And is costing us games So Far "

OP's if you are going to post negative sentences then swear you really mean it to be interpreted in a certain way...please dont be offended when it happens 100 people view it 100 different ways.

If I wanted to say Chad Henne is the problem, I would've said "Chad Henne is the Problem," not "Chad Henne Really Isn't Any Better So Far."

Take your time and read through the post before you respond, and make sure your response follows from the post rather than from what's going on in your own mind.

The stats aren't showing it but so far I have seen him not make some of the same mistakes he's made the past couple years. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Henne fan, and I think he should be held accountable for the plays he does and doesn't make. He needs to step up and make more plays rather than just not making bad plays. That's what I'm looking for. Hopefully our defense can step up too and stop playing awful. They had a decent game yesterday outside of the A. Johnson burns. But, looks like it'll be a long season.

if you can't see Henne is improved then you must have not seen him yet. he's more decisive, makes quicker reads, throws down field more often, he has better accuracy, and is almost a running threat. the numbers don't tell the whole story, he has changed a lot
also, you can't use two games as an accurate comparison to 16

yeah, this. It should be obvious but hey, its pile on time here in fin hell.

chad henne cant catch the ball or kick FG's or block. chad henne is much improved. I think his game yesterday was lacking reggie bush out of backfield. i believe in sticking with the hot RB, but I also believe in mixing it up. you have to keep teams guessing week to week not just play to play. that is why BB and Brady are geniuses.

If he finishes the season with a QB rating similar to the one he has now, we'll be needing a new quarterback, regardless of what anyone is "seeing."

Anything "obvious" that was also meaningful and important would be reflected in the statistics.

It could be that he's showing "obvious" differences that aren't all that important or meaningful.

IMO the stats tell the story of what's important, as QB rating is strongly predictive of winning. A QB rating of 79 is rarely going to be associated with a winning team.

We have the same Chad Henne as last year. He may be more confident, but that doesn't necessarily equal better play. He had a dropped end zone interception in the NE game, and had 4 batted passes and 1 deflection in the Houston game, and he still cant manage a 2 minute drill. Good QB's don't do those things. I'm sure someone will blame the OL though.

I think people may be looking for subtle differences in his comportment that may or may not have implications for how good he is overall. The hope that he'll be much improved under Daboll is also making people give loads of weight to the New England game while comparatively ignoring the Houston game.

Fact is, he was about 8 QB rating points better than average in the New England game, while being about 30 QB rating points below average in the Houston game.

If you remove his late-game interception against New England, he was 19 points above average, while 30 points below against Houston.

In the Houston game he played terribly.

Henne really has improved from last year...He is making better decisions... Both the picks he's thrown this year werent really his fault. The one in the first game was a very catchable ball at the end of the game...I blame that one on the receiver, and the one yesterday he got his arm hit while in the motion of throwing....I blame that one on the offensive line.
