I never understood why he didn't have the ability to audible last season. Is it a wonder he played so poorly when his OC was calling a play-action pass on 3rd and long with no players in the backfield and he had no ability to change the ridiculous play?
Against the Buccs, we saw Henne make several audibles, and they were successful for the most part. This could be a big factor in his success this season.
Chad Henne has been given "full reign" to audible at the line of scrimmage this season.
Coach Tony Sparano is known for his micromanaging, but he is giving Henne some freedom this season. And with new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll instilling confidence, Henne has compiled a 93.4 quarterback rating through three preseason games. We're not saying the corner has been turned here, but Henne appears much more comfortable in the pocket. On a related note, Brandon Marshall is looking like a steal at his current fourth-round ADP.
