Chad Johnson arrested sat night for Domestic Violence

That is such chicken**** rationale. If a girl throws a punch at you, you block her blow and tell her to get the **** out of the car. Then leave her wherever the hell she is and decide whether or not to press charges. Hitting a woman with a clenched fist (or headbutting) aren't appropriate reactions, no matter how much of a skank she is or isn't.

That's easy for you to say, isn't it? Again, we don't know the whole story yet. What if she had a weapon on her? Is Chad supposed to be concerned about not hitting a woman and just try and restrain her, or act instinctively to protect himself? If he's found guilty, I'll be right in the same camp with you...but that will not happen until we hear the full story.

I once got pulled over and arrested (for the only time ever in my life) for fleeing and eluding. I was in an industrial area at nighttime with no shoulder to pull over, drove at a slow, declining speed of 30mph to 15mph for .48 miles according to the police report. I came to a complete stop when I realized there was no shoulder to pull over and stopped in the road. That's all she wrote...off to county jail I go, charged with a felony. Fortunately, justice prevailed and the charge was dropped. There were inconsistencies in the police report as well as the arresting officer's testimony.

If you were to use the same logic, then I should've been fired from my job for committing a felony, right? Even though I hadn't yet been tried in a court of law for said crime. Guilty until proven innocent?

What's the moral of the story? Get all the facts before making your judgments.

What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Sometimes chicks lie.

WTF? She was taken to the hospital with a cut on her forehead they BOTH say was caused by their heads colliding. She says on purpose. He says by accident. They BOTH admit they were arguing about a receipt for a box of condoms that Chad purchased. There's not much room here for her to lie even if she was inclined to.

So yeah, a nice try there. Good use of "chicks", as well. It really fills out the picture.

In all honesty, after seeing the two of them on Hard Knocks, is anyone surprised?

Seriously. You can't withhold sex from a man like that. Especially not an pro athlete in South Florida. Especially not with his immaturity issues.

The argument was not about a receipt for condoms that CHAD bought, but rather an Argument on why there was a receipt for condoms...Meaning Chad must be suspecting she was cheating?

It always kills me when people try to compare their jobs and their circumstances with those of professional athletes. You aren't one of the highly paid faces of a billion dollar entertainment company, dude. Your image doesn't affect the bottom line and doesn't cause a ****storm of negative publicity. Your image relative to your company is -- let me guesss -- nil.

And you also didn't head butt your wife hard enough to send her to the hospital with stitches. You got arrested for not pulling over quickly enough.

So let's recap.

You =/= a professional athlete.
Not pulling over fast enough =/= head butting your spouse.

Why does your story matter again?

Of course it sounds shady, but if it was you and you knew you were innocent, you'd think differently. What if the real story is she got mad at him about the condom receipt and head butted him? What if Chad said it was an accident because she headbutted him? The law is usually on the woman's side when it comes to domestic violence, so he could have been thinking he's better off just saying it was an accident instead of, "well, she hit me."

It doesn't matter who I am. It doesn't matter who Chad Johnson is. My arrest and Chad's arrest are two very different charges....obviously. My only point is we live in America. The law says you're innocent until proven guilty.

You've already made your judgement that Chad was the aggressor based off of a few reports. You have no idea what happened. You've also made your judgement that I didn't pull over fast enough Thwhen the facts are it took a total of 27 seconds to come to a stop. That wasn't a long enough time or distance to be considered fleeing. e judge and the state agreed with me because the charges were dropped...but hey, we'll just go off of your rationale.

I'm sorry I couldn't reach you.

I personally don't believe Chad intentionally attacked his Wife over something so small. He is a clown but not an ass and deserves the benefit of the doubt here. Also considering the fact that his wife is a reality tv star who has made a career out of being over the top and making people look ridiculous. I hope the fins don't cut the man purely off speculation and fan-based hatred.

While i'm inclined to side with you knowing she is naked on the internet and that she is a diva, you cannot lacerate a woman's forehead especially when looking for a job and now being a focal point of premium programming

He's going to lose his job here and maybe in the NFL, mad a bad choice, sucks but reality

EDIT

Chad also used to make jokes about condoms, and i think not using them, on twitter, if anyone could find that maybe it can provide some written proof that he should or should have not purchased them LOL

What in the name of Jiminy ****ing Cricket are you talking about? Only a relatively small number of domestic abuse cases are ever tried, and the conviction rate is not at all good, for the exact reason that, without corroborating witnesses, the cases devolve into he said she said.

Take this as a case in point: http://www.toledoblade.com/Police-F...violence-cases-net-convictions-in-Toledo.html

That's right. We live in America. Where you get your day in court... but also where if part of your job is to avoid embroiling yourself and therefore your employer in a ****storm of bad publicity, YOU CAN BE FIRED.

And that's all we're talking about here. The fact that Chad Johnson should be fired. And he should. Guilty or not, it's part of his job to avoid situations that could lead to this kind of publicity.

I'm sorry you're not making any sense. At all.

I'm talking about arrests, not if the case makes it to trial or if there's a conviction.

You said, and I quote, "the law is usually on the woman's side when it comes to domestic violence". What could that be in reference to other than prosecutions of these cases?

Or are you saying that when the police show up to a domestic violence call and a woman is bleeding from her forehead and claims her husband violently head butted her, they're supposed to... do what, exactly? Arrest BOTH of them? Arrest no one? You said before it was possible that SHE head butted HIM and hurt herself, so maybe they should have arrested her unless she could prove that wasn't true.

Seriously, dude. If she made the call, and she's going to press charges, then he's going to be arrested. And he'll have his day in court and a jury will decide who they believe.

But relative to his job, that is all utterly beside the point. Professional athletes like Chad Johnson represent their team, which is nothing more than a brand, which means that avoiding situations like this that tarnish the brand is part of their job. Getting arrested is perfectly acceptable grounds for termination, though in practice you also have to not be very good to actually be cut.

The good/popular athletes usually just have their endorsements stripped (endorsing being a form of employment, this is equivalent to being fired), like Kobe did when he was accused of sexual assault (though he was never convicted) or Tiger Woods when he broke no laws in having sex with as many skanky women as he could find (losing $20+ million in endorsements as a result).

Miami Dolphins reaction:

“We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all the relevant information,” team spokesman Harvey Greene told PFT via email.

In other words "when we find out he head butted her, hes gonna be our brandon marshall with older age and less talent and a bigger mouth" sucks because i thought chad had the skill to seperate and make some plays that we will need, even while dropping a handful
