Chad Ochocinco released, states Dolphins possible landing spot.

One thing I do know, Ochocinco would LOVE to be signed by the Dolphins. Check out this quote from last March 2011:

He gave that same quote on about 15 teams. He went down a radio row at some event and said that same thing essentially to each show for the city they were from. It was a running joke at the time. Don't take the quote seriously.

Talking to the Miami people, he wants to be on the Dolphins. Talking to a radio show in San Diego, oh I want to be a Charger. Talking to a radio show in Houston, wow it would be great to be a Texan. LOL...that's where that quote came from.

He just wants to get paid. And at the veterans minimum that he has to be signed for, he is NOT cheap. This is part of the new CBA.

As a 11 year veteran, his base contract would be around $940,000. He allowed his contract with the Patriots to be lowered from #3 million or $1 million to hopefully be able to stay with the team this season. That Million a year is more then we are paying all of our WRs together outside of Hartline and Bess.

An 11 year vet can offer valuable input for our rooks. I would put him on the field now and then just so defenses set a double team on the guy and open room for another player...that's all I would use him for as far as on-the-field play. But if he is dirt cheap and he will impart his experience to our young guys, then and only then, will I even think about have 85 in AO colors.

Otherwise I would say PASS.

It would make for a more entertaining Hard Knocks, but I'm not sure how much it would help our WR production this season.

How many older WRs have gone on to have a productive season after being cut by NE? Stallworth? Galloway? Moss? If you are not being productive on the field, teams aren't going to double team you to open things up for other receivers.

Was he effective in the short yardage plays in NE? If not, then forget him.

I would take him but being on hard knocks makes me not want him...I don't want the show to be about him

Dude, read a little and think more before you post.

For the 20th time, old Diva WRs do not mentor young ones that will take their jobs!

No one is going to double cover Chad Johnson, one reason being he would not be starting!

His salary will be $940,000, is that what you call dirt cheap?

Sign him and see if it works out.. All we hear and talk about is how we have such a 'weak' receiving corp.. If it doesnt work, we dump him..

Ocho can fill in right next to our Jordy Nelson (Hartline) and be our version of Donald Driver! Kidding, obviously, but i wouldnt be as openly opposed to it, but this is me thinking that his diva-ish ways are leaving him as his star continues to fade.

Ocho is hardly a diva. How many times has he held out for a bigger contract? How many times has he caused issues all because he wasn't getting the ball? He's not Randy Moss. He's not TO. He's not Roy Williams. He's someone who does more good than 90% of the NFL and he loves twitter. Oh god what a cancer!
