Judging from the demeanor Chad O’Shea might be the only coach worth anything right now.
I have not been a fan of the play calling by either so far.
3rd and 17 you rush 3 ****ing players?
You have a bad oline, maybe run a few bootlegs?
I think it would be pretty difficult to replace O'shea, given the fact that there aren't many guys around with experience in this system. Graham, on the other hand, probably is replaceable, but it is hard to put the failings on the DC this early in the year, given the complexity of the system, and the lack of veteran players to execute it.I think these coaches are in the same boat as Josh Rosen. They want to show something, but given the talent around them, it's really hard. I don't know if they will be able to be properly evaluated, but they are going to have to show something because it will be all too easy to replace them with arguably less risky options next year.
I didn't care for that call either. Kind of a head scratcher.
I wonder if Flores may have spoken to him about that one after the fact. I would hope so.
Yes, I was going to mention the fact that the coaching staff is going through an onthe job learning process, as well. Mistakes are a part of life. The trick is to learn from them, and use the wisdom gained moving forward.I'm sure Flores speaks to his coordinators all the time. Especially on the defensive side of the ball.
I also think Coach Flores recognizes that everyone is still learning to be the best at their respective jobs including him.
As such, He's going to allow guys to learn from mistakes, add his input, and keep moving forward.
This season isn't only about evaluating and developing players. It's also meant for the coaching too.
The goal ,based on his comments, is for everyone, organizationally, to grow together.
