Chad O'Shea and Patrick Graham meet with the media

Chad O'Shea might be the most important person in the building once we get Tua. I have no idea what we have in him.

I have not been a fan of the play calling by either so far.

3rd and 17 you rush 3 ****ing players?

You have a bad oline, maybe run a few bootlegs?

It has to be hard for these two guys as they both know they just don't have the players right now. We don't know how good or bad they really are. You can tell they really care at least that's my opinion but we don't have the talent at this point.

I think these coaches are in the same boat as Josh Rosen. They want to show something, but given the talent around them, it's really hard. I don't know if they will be able to be properly evaluated, but they are going to have to show something because it will be all too easy to replace them with arguably less risky options next year.

Judging from the demeanor Chad O’Shea might be the only coach worth anything right now.

Based on demeanor alone, huh?
Post like this makes me wonder how many poster work in professional settings?
Around alot of "demeanor" and how that correlates to everything else including ability to do your job.

I didn't care for that call either. Kind of a head scratcher.

I wonder if Flores may have spoken to him about that one after the fact. I would hope so.

I think it would be pretty difficult to replace O'shea, given the fact that there aren't many guys around with experience in this system. Graham, on the other hand, probably is replaceable, but it is hard to put the failings on the DC this early in the year, given the complexity of the system, and the lack of veteran players to execute it.

I'm sure Flores speaks to his coordinators all the time. Especially on the defensive side of the ball.
I also think Coach Flores recognizes that everyone is still learning to be the best at their respective jobs including him.
As such, He's going to allow guys to learn from mistakes, add his input, and keep moving forward.

This season isn't only about evaluating and developing players. It's also meant for the coaching too.

The goal ,based on his comments, is for everyone, organizationally, to grow together.

Yes, I was going to mention the fact that the coaching staff is going through an onthe job learning process, as well. Mistakes are a part of life. The trick is to learn from them, and use the wisdom gained moving forward.

Look, all these guys are rookies at their current positions, and sometimes errors will be made. Anyway, there weren't many established coordinator types beating down the door to land a job in this (at the time) disfunctional organization.

Neither of these guys can be judged fairly based on the players they have been given to work with. The 3rd and long where he only rushed three would have worked great if Eric Rowe didnt give up the sideline which was literally his only friggin assignment on the play.

don't make excuses. yeah, the talent is lacking, but so are our coordinators abilities to scheme/play call a sack here and a chunk play there. now all we need is the "nothing to see here" crowd to tell us they don't want to show their hand until next year.
