Chambers is way overrated!!! | Page 2 | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums

Chambers is way overrated!!!

He averages about 900 yards and seven TD's a season, and he's done that with an injury-plagued 2002 season and a rookie year in which he didn't start. The guy will have a good season in a system that lets receivers thrive.

anquan boldin did it with a crappy quarterback in josh mcCown as the quarterback. He was no better than Fiedler!!! So how can anquan have a year of close to 1400 yards and Chambers cannot?
First of all Anquan Boldin is a different type of reciever than Chambers and was in a totally different offense. Chris Chambers is a vertical passing reciever, but this offense has never been a vertical passing offense. Jay Feidler has no where near the arm strength to pass the ball downfield to get it to him. The guy has shown glimpses of how good he can be. But until he gets a QB that can get the ball to him downfield he will never be able to reach his full potential. We can't say for sure that he will be a great reciever, until he shows it, but when guys like Norv Turner and Scott Linehan start raving about the guy, that should tell you he has some talent.

you must be crazy!! you put chambers in the rams systems and watch him shine, yes boldin had 1000yds with a sorry qb, but i'll bet you that's all they had that year. i think chambers in the right system sould be in the top 7 wr in the nfl...........

alright well you keep telling yourself that but until i see it then i will believe it. He has NOT produced the way a top receiver should in this league. Its that plain and simple. It is just my opinion that he has not justified or lived up to his expectations as a dolphin.

I think chambers could have a break out season. He has great skills they just need to get him the ball!!

i here what you saying but let me ask you something, if the dolphins had moss or t.o. right now....do you think they put up 1100 yds 10 td. in a system that the dolphins run? even thou i don't know how this year is going to be like with saban on board.....

Its not all about stats its about how he makes his catches. He barely drops anything and his hands are like glue. That is what shows me he is a good WR people who say he is overrated must just not watch all Dolphin games which is the same problem with these dumb media personalities who say we have no talent.

If Anquan Boldin was in the offense that Chambers has been in,his stats would be no better, and thats a FACT!like it or NOT,you need to realize that NOT all teams run the same type of offense.how in the Hell can you expect Chambers to have all world stats, when we were a run first, second and most of the time, third offense?

Tell me what he has done in his career point and simple. NOTHING. Why do we keep saying this will be his year? It hasnt ever been his any year except for that great rookie season but other than that he hasnt put up the production to be at least a top 20 receiver. Chambers had Fiedler throwing him the ball but Anquan Boldin was able to have a 1000 yard season with a below average quarterback. Chambers may be a good #2 receiver but definately not a #1 receiver. He reminds me of a Peerless Price(a good receiver just not suited to being the top guy). Personally I think David Boston is a better receiver. We saw that in the preseason. He has also proven before that he can be a great receiver. Chambers has not necessarily done that. He needs to show something fast if he wants to stay as the #1 receiver.

No way, I thought he was supposed to be better than Eric Moulds :D

he actually did it with Jeff Blake, who can throw a deep ball, and has a strong arm

he has the talent. When Miami throws to him he catchs about anything and dose good keeping his feet in bounds. He never had a good QB who threw to him,

Yeah hopefully he will have a good year though He isnt Randy Moss or TO, hes good but not in their league.

Remember....

Miami, unlike Arizona was also very competive in these years therefore they never passed as much as Arizona. If you put Chambers on the Vikings, guaranteed he has 1200+ yards and 12+ touchdowns!!!!

Not only that, but how he keeps his feet in no matter where the catch, or how close to the sideline, or endzone

Dude, that was post number 666 for you ... I'll let you slide on that one ...

But I disagree ... Chambers has done nothing to be held in the same category as Moulds ... Chambers is much lower ...

why don't you wait unitl Miami actually plays some games this year, I'm tired of this ****. The reason most feel he will breakout is becuase the ball is actually going to be thrown to him downfield and more often, the guy is a playmaker, but playmakers need the damn ball, but Chambers doesn't wine unlike T.O, Chad Johnson, etc. Thisis really the year that Chambers has a legit chance, beacuse he will be utilized, It's the tell tale year for him, if he doesn't take it to the next level this season, then I won't say anything anymore, but I think he will breakout.
