Chambers Set For HUGE Year

In 1996(?) Herman Moore and Brett Perriman both had 100 catches and a 1000 yards receiving while playing together.......

With Scott Mitchell throwing them the ball.
 
I agree he will have a great year...we have a qb with an arm and coaches who will make sure our best wr is used correctly.
 
many of us continue to give Chambers the benefit of the doubt(way to much IMO) it was wanny, it was the OL, it was fiedler, the stars didn't line up correctly for him this year.Ok I will give Chambers this year and make a determination at the end...saying that...Chambers have shown flashes of greatness throughout his career, but he needs to become more consistant in his play.

I'm not making excuses,I'm providing reason, if he doesn't do it this year then he will have underachieved, but like I said earlier. I see this really as 2 years for Chambers, last year was a mess, and none of the Dolphins players played as well as they should've it wasn't just Chambers it was everything. 2002 he was starting to take make good stride until that concussion he had when blasted in the head. He wasn't the same for the last 5 games or whatever, of the season. He had a nice rookie season and 2003 season, and now this year he will breakout, plain simple, regardless if you want him to or not nyjunc, He'll burn you Jets like he has many times before.

I never said I wouldn't want him, he has talent he's just not a big time WR yet and he should have been by now.

Burn us like he has many times before? He has had TWO good ngames against us in 7 career games and just 1 100 yd game and just 1 TD.

His career #s against in 7 games are: 28 recs, 432 yds, 1 TD
That averages out to: 4 recs, 62 yds, .14 TDs

He hasn't exactly been a thorn in our side the way Mark Duper was.

Just think what Chambers would have done on the home game last season that he didn't play, Bryan Gilmore was doing pretty good against the jets D for crying out loud 10/03 New York L 9-17 Yes 3 57 19.0 37 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
that's a supposedly 4th receiver play along side Booker, getting those yards, you would think that he would have like 20 yards at most, a big 37 yard play against them.

How did CC do against the Jets at the Meadowlands? 3 recs 29 yds. Please stop w/ the nonsense. His YPC in 7 games is 15 which is good, not great, and he has 1 TD in 7 games. Nobody on your O has killed us consistently since Dan in the early-mid 90s.

I know he should have been, but **** happens sometimes, I felt last year was going to be the year, and it most likey was going to be. But then everything was all screwed up, and right in the beginning after all the chaos, I had a feeling that Chambers wasn't going to really have a good chance to break 1,000 right from there on. I want to have a fair evaluation on Chambers, and that couldn't really happen last year. Miami is going to be improved, 0-line will give Frerrote and Feeley time to throw and Chambers to have some time for once to run his routes, their running game should be good, Linehan will utilize Chambers how he should and have deep passes thrown to him, there should have been some deep passes thrown to him last year, regardless if he was open or not, he probably was open a lot, but Feeley should've thrown up some passes, some jump balls when Chambers was covered one on one by a corner and let him jump up and snatch the ball in the air with his nasty vertical leap. Now if he can't do it this year, at least I feel there is a fair evaluation on him, and long as he isn't injured or for too long. He shall breakout this year.

Well, I don't know about that Ricky Williams has stomped you guys pretty good. Yeah, I know it wasn't consistently, ...and as far as the game at the meadow lands go, I have to admit it, you guys crushed us, but it was easy for the jets in that, because Miami had a ****ty running game last season but,but Miami was able to at least move the chains every now and then against other teams but the Jets stopped Miami from running the ball so easily that they just had 5 or six players in the secondary while stuffing the run, and Fiedler's performance was pretty bad too so, how was chambers going to get alot of yards if Wanny being an idiot kept on having Miami run the ball, and Fielder doing nothing in the pocket, nothing but punts for miami that game, hardly any first downs in that game. I wan't trying to stir up anything or cause an argument I was didn't care for your first post even though I understand where you're coming from but I feel that you didn't thoroughly view the situations before saying it.
 
But just to make things fair, Ricky has ran threw the jets good, but so has Curtis Martin to Miami, especially last season at the meadow lands so there you go
 
Chambers will play to his potential when he finally gets the oppurtunity.... thats the issue here.

I'd like to see you catch 90 balls when they only throw you 75 and half of them arent even catchable.
