Channing Crowder Retiring...

Maybe he realized he'd make more plays on Madden than on the field. Good riddance. He was nothing but words writing checks that his actions bounced.
 
Lol yeah right, If I were betting he'll be back this year with somebody. He's talented enough to be at least a backup or even a starter for some teams. He's a good run stopper when he wants to be. He wasn't much more than a gap filler though. Can't cover ****, can't tackle in open field, poor closing speed.
 
i think they want to get into more the coverage backers and the guys that can run vs the thumpers vs the run...it will give us more flexibility in our pass defense packages...cause crowder wore a target in pass d
 
Whatever, thanks for not much Crowder. His mouth constantly wrote checks that his talent couldn't cash.
 
used to be a fan of crowder but after the last two years he just has not made the plays or stayed healthy. There were concerns that he would have a short term career when he was drafted . good guy and for the early part of his career a much better player than given credit for.
 
I prefer seeing him as one of us, as opposed to expecting anything from him as a fan...he was a fun guy though, i'll miss his antics.

His pursuit of a media career cannot go any worse than his pursuit of any tight end he ever covered.
 
I think Crowder is the type of guy who might just stay retired to prove a point. I'm sure he'll get other offers, and if he got an offer from Jax or Tampa (meaning he'd get to stay in Florida), I'd be curious to see if he'd take it. Also, if Miami gets any injuries at ILB, I'd expect them to give Crowder a call, we're not exactly deep at that position, even if Edds is a solid player.
 
Good luck Channing. He may not have been great but at least he had passion.

Say what you will about Crowder, he gave his heart, soul, and body to the Dolphins. He is a Dolphin for life, he bleeds our colors maybe he wasnt in on many big plays as we would have liked but the guy gave it his all. Total team guy that only cared for the Dolphins. Would love to see him come back as a backup of sorts. Either way I wish him the best with wherever he goes from here.
