Check out these offensive stats!

In addition we are averaging more First Downs per game, in Pre-Season than what we averaged last Regular Season (19 FD p/g-16.7 FD p/g). We also improved from last Pre-Season to this Pre-Season (11.5 FD p/g-19 FD p/g)...

Seems like Linehan is trying to heavily improve the passing game, specially when we are leading the league in attempts (even though we have one game on everyone)...

We are moving the ball, but need to improve execution by repetitions...
 
Can't wait for Saban to start opening up the real playbook,...
with weapons like Chambers,Boston,McMichael,Ronnie and Ricky, it's only a matter of time.

that may be true but keep in mind that the 1st stringers play MUCH less than the backups.. It may be different when we have them playing an entire game..

Also we have yet to see Ronnie Brown play, he will help improve numbers too

Let's be fair here Gus and AJ play against 1st and 2nd stringers and Brock plays against that weeks causualties.
 
somebody want to do this with the first string defense, and see how dominating they are? :)
 
Preseaon stats are pointless


Peterson leads in rushing
Bradley leads in Recieving
Ferotte 4th in passing


I dont know about you but i dont reconize any of those names :)

Just for you finz:

Total Paasing yds allowed in 3 games by 1st team D= 29 att, 13 comp (44.8%), 150 yds (5.17 YPA), 1 INT, total QBR 46.5%...

Total Rushing yds allowed in 3 games by 1st team D= 28 att, 153 yds (5.46 YPC), 1 TD, and 1 Fumble Recovered...

I agree with you. I was just kind of giving that stat to show how ineffective our 1st and 2nd string QB's have been. I in no way was implying that Brock is better than either one as I believe he'll be on our PS this season.
 
I'm about to conclude that our offensive linemen really just don't have much ability. You can't blame it on the QB -- tons of teams have mediocre QBs and average more than 2.9 yards per carry. I mean come on. You can't blame it on the system -- we're doing the same crap this year even though we have a system and last year's cluster**** is gone. Can't blame it on the lack of RBs -- we have Ricky back and he's shown he can still run like he used to. Our receivers (including TE) are among the best in the league. It has to be the ability of the linemen -- they have one of the best coaches in the league now.

But then think about it for a minute -- other than Carey, how many highly-drafted or highly-regarded free agent OLs have we gotten in the past 5 years? And I'm not talking about the Jeno Jameses and Taylor Whitleys of the world -- I'm talking about the Olin Kreutzes and Robert Gallerys. DW and company really did patchwork with the OL. And it's ridiculous -- they were trying to replicate what they did in Dallas in the 90s, and what was always the strength of those Dallas teams? The OL. Boneheads....

The probably the most dissapointing part of our team right now. I completely was looking forward to seeing some dominating play out of our OL. With Hudson Hauck and with some of the additions that we've made, I was expecting a huge improvement. So far, they look like last year's bunch. Maybe they'll kick it into gear as early as this weekend. IMO, that is the key to our offensive success.
