“If it gets to the point where I'm feeling really good with our medical crew that's going to be in here and some of our trainers, and the nutrition I'll be on, maybe I'll get a stab at (a return to the NFL),” Chambers said. “It would be great to play as a Miami Dolphin because it's right around the corner. If they need some help at receiver, just a leader in the locker room to come out there and make some plays I'd be open to doing that. That's kind of down the road right now, but that's what I'm thinking. Then if nothing happens throughout that year I'll officially retire in 2013.”

I would welcome him back in that role if needed...
 
wow, you ppl just cant let go can ya? hes finished, forget it.
 
as a leader and mentor I'm fine just as long as he has minimal playing time like short yardage or something...but nothing too big
 
i actually don't see the problem, Chad 85 is older than him.... not saying they're on the same level, but why not if we are kinda thin at receiver

By like 7 months. They came in the same year. And obviously (as you kind of mentioned) Chambers was never quite as good as Chad was at any point in his career.
 
What do we have to lose? We could use some vets for this WR core. If he can still play I don't have a problem with it.
