we will not even miss shelby with the praying mantis (McCain) with him back Rodgers WILL be running for his life Wake and the Mantis on oppsite sides ? loyd have mercy .

McCain is going to be a beast in this league , and from training camp from the first time Jason Taylor seen this kid he wanted to know WHO THIS Kid was he was tearing it up in Training Camp and he transformed it over into the Pats game , thats the only game he has played for us this year , but he had 1 sack and 1 punt blocked ,he is quick as a cat and has pretty good size with those Long arms .

Yeah OV will be playing a big role along with McCain .for the ones that didnt get to see the Pats game McCain is a good player ,and IMO
will become Elete in time , and i hope everyone gets to see the game against the Packers and just watch THE praying mantis..

Both guys are going to be good players , but McCain is going to be great .
 
you can't start mccain at de...teams would just run downhill right at him...stick with the sub package rush reps...missing shelby this week will hurt the edge rush defense...he's the best of the group...just likely means more run for fede sunday in the rotation

rotation will be relied on this week with the pack likely going no huddle...only reason they may not would be if they have concerns about the heat wearing down the players but it's to their advantage as an offense if they do...with bulaga back i would absolutely not allow miami to sub out on d...

coyle better not get caught with his pants down...understand that if they go quick you wont be able to sub out guys like misi or trusnick if for some stupid reason they decide to play trusnick in the base d or whatever...which they shouldnt...you roll with misi and wheeler and jenkins this week barring injury...and sub out misi in the sub whenever you can...also work in mccain in the sub rotation as a pass rusher

It does....Shelby was a very good rotational guy because he could play three positions (both DE and the 3) and have an impact. What will happen is a rotation of AJ at the 3, JO at DE with Fede mixed in. McCains role will not change a whole lot....will still be used in sub packages to get after the QB...yes, he is fun to watch and should develop into a good player, but he is too raw and not strong enough at the POA to be a guy you rotate in at DE.
 
He still needs some bulk but has a decent upside. This game he should only be in on obvious passing downs.
 
We may be jumping the gun on McCain. He has only been in on 17 snaps for the year, and the one sack was the only play he made. Other than that, it's been nothing.

He definitely won't replace Shelby.

Even bringing him into the conversation as to why we supposedly won't miss Shelby is misguided.

Right, and even though he only had 1 sack and a punt block , he was in the back field on just about every play when another player had the sack ,McCain was right there , hes going to be a Very Good Player .
