Chris Perkins: Dolphins headed for mediocrity in 2025 before 2026 rebuild

Yes. He’ll run it back because he’s too old to care. It’s a pastime for him. Somewhere to entertain his buddies on Sunday instead of the yacht or the race track. And his net worth is higher than the GDP of most developing countries.
Well if Ross doesn't care then I guess I shouldn't anymore. If the owner of a team doesn't care about winning then there is no reason for fans to keep spending rime and money on his team.

How old are you?

Do you have a life other than the Dolphins?
Of course I do just as every pretty much every other fan does. I work 12+ hours a day during the week. So most of my free time is on the weekend. My point is if the owner doesn't care about winning then maybe I should spend more of my free time, including Sundays in the Fall/Winter, on other things.

I have been a fan of the Dolphins for over 35 years. I've dealt with many years of them being irrelevant. It is what it is but if the owner cares more about making money while accepting incompetent people running the team then why should I waste anymore of my time and money on them? For now I will express my opinion on the team including the players, coaches and OWNER as much as I want as long as I follow the rules.

I’m sure Ross does care about winning. He would make more money

But maybe he also thinks that changing the HC every 3-4 years is part of the reason for the lack of success over the past 30+ years?

That being said … in your scenario where the team goes 5-12 and assuming Tua plays at least 10 of those games … I will join you on the “fire everyone” bandwagon

Yeah no one in the building currently please

But Perkins is optimistic with mediocre. This sucker has all the makings of flat out implosion.
Not sure about that. Front 7 is pretty strong with Chubb back and the pieces they added in the draft and we have some good
Linebackers. Secondary is scary. If they don’t add a couple of decent veterans to that unit then that will definitely make what could be a good defense mediocre or worst. Offense will hopefully be better in short yardage situations, which would be a huge improvement over last year. Then the question is Tua and probably offensive line depth. If Daniels isn’t healthy then I’m not feeling as optimistic. If he is, and Tua learn to slide and not dive head first, then mediocre is definitely within reach if not above average on offense.

Bingo, we have winner.

A response like this tells me more about what you would do in Mr. Ross's situation than it does to identify what Mr. Ross is really thinking.

Then you go on to "complain" about his wealth with a sarcastic comment.

"Sour Grapes" Alert, "Sour Grapes" Alert - LOL

Ross has done some stupid things, but I’ve seen no proof or evidence that he doesn’t want to win or cares more about making money with the Dolphins than winning a SB. In fact, I’d bet my house that if he had a choice he’d gladly choose losing $10m on the season and win a SB rather than making $10m and not making the playoffs.

That might explain why he "bankrolled" improvements to the stadium. - LOL
