Cinncinati bengals forum

I do typically laugh at men who roll their eyes.

But seriously - I'm an OSU guy and I'm telling you Hartline's game last week was an aberration - not a sign of things to come.

Then again, I was wrong about Andrew Hawkins down in Cincinnati...so who knows?

Yea well Dalton and Green's entire College career, first NFL season, and first 4 games this year was an aberration. We're gonna be calling Cincinnati Fincinnati come Sunday night.

The Bengals v Fins game in '10 was a snorefest. Maybe less to you since the Dolphins won, but a boring arse game, nonetheless. That's not a shot at the Dolphins, just the truth.

With the Bengals youth, it'd be stupid to say they're on par with playoff teams from last year. They had chances against Pitt x2 Balt x2 and the Texans late last year to put themselves in the conversation and they failed each time. The fortunate thing is, they gained invaluable experience playing those teams last year and their young core is back this year with some added weapons in the passing game. The injuries on defense is sure to suck some of the wind out of their progression this year, but if you're so concerned with reality, why is it you think the Dolphins have such a great shot this Sunday with a rookie QB and not a whole lot receiving wise? Pleeeease don't cite Hartline. I can see Bush but if you talk about Hartline, i'm going to point out how the Bengals were able to completely negate MJD last week.

For the record, i have no doubt it's going to be a close competitive game so no need to think i'm out of touch with reality.
Sean smith covered fitzgerald very well and should continue against AJ. We have a better front 7 while you have no running game and we do. Why wouldn't I cite hartline when he just had a great game against a great d while having another 100+ yard game not so long ago? That and bess also just came from a 123 yard game. I saw the game and it's pretty clear MJD's o line didn't help them out and ours is much better then theirs. As for the bold part in your post. Tannehill is playing well with what he has and now we finally have a 3rd receiver and he's only thrown to 2 because we had lagadu nanee who we just cut for being the most garbage receiver like he was last year no idea why we brought him. Gaffney is a huge upgrade over that scrub. Either way tenehill just came from a 400 yard game against a better defense then yours no doubt and that's something Dalton can't even do with the better weapons he has.

no it's different for dolphins fans because at least we used to be good. We gave the world don shula and dan marino. You all gave the world chris collinsworth, and boomer eiaison

Yea! Marino all in your face Bengal trolls!! Isotoners and Lois Einhorn, WHAT!!!

they are a bunch of idiots if they think this will be an easy win

hold on i have to go look up hawkins b/c your fanbase is hangin on his balls so hard. :)

This is really a bold statement to the inteligemce of football in Miami. Any REAL and KNOWLEDGABLE fam would KNOW the weapons of the team their getting ready to play. To post with this level of intelligence on our forum is suicide.

Come back an talk to us once you got you homework done kid

Your most likely just dumbfounded by hartlines ugly face so I guess I can understand

What year was that the bengals got smeared in the super bowl? i would still be embarassed to this day over that lol.

Yeah, you used to be good. How many Super Bowl rings does Marino have? Just as many as Boomer Esiason, right? We all know the Dolphins used to be good and the Bengals tend to be bad. But since the NFL is a 'what have you done for me recently' league, I'd say I'm standing on firmer ground than you guys are. Hell, even most Steelers fans (the smart ones, anyways) don't hold on the faded glories of the past - and their franchise is WAY more storied than the Dolphin's.

Couldn't the same be said about some of your fan base saying the same thing?

Yeah. Thanks a lot for Dave Shula.

I notice you didn't mention the 2 rings we got before marino even showed up. Poor boomer went from the crappy bengals to the crappy jets.

Smeared, huh? The one you're asking about is the one they lost by 6 points. Then there was the other one where they lost by 5.

Last time the Dolphins were in the Super Bowl was 4 years prior to the Bengals last appearance (yay) and they lost 38-16 to the same 49ers who beat the Bengals both times.

God damn Joe Montana, amIright?

i still havent looked him up b/c im so worried, jimmy wilson is gonna shut him down back to the practice squad where he should be. [elohel].

They got DESTROYED 20-16 in 1988. Can you say BLOW OUT!! I've never seen such destruction. And also in 1981 26-21. They got embarrassed like the chumps they are. My main man Dan only lost 38-16. Man these Bengal trolls are foolish.

I notice you didn't mention the Super Bowl you lost before the Dolphins won their 2 in a row. To go with my previous post - it, too, was a complete beating; losing to the Cowboys 24-3.

Man, when the 'Phins lost, they lost hard.

So you don't want Bengals fans thinking they're getting close to the good playoff teams even though they beat everyone they were supposed to last year and made it to the playoffs, yet you want to believe the Dolphins will win Sunday because they played a good game last week?

I understand now...

One more thing. You ever see a team play down because they didn't take an opponent as seriously as they should have?

Perspective goes both ways.

I think what he's trying to say is that our franchise history wise is much better than the bengals and the last few playoff appearances don't change that. Unless you just started watching football this decade of course.
