Cinncinati bengals forum

Honestly i think if we can generate a decent pass rush we can control their passing game. If we can get to dalton before he can throw the ball it wont matter if smith can cover green.

i still havent looked him up b/c im so worried, jimmy wilson is gonna shut him down back to the practice squad where he should be. [elohel].

He's the Bengals 3rd receiver. His 2 TD's this year have both been ridiculous plays (and not broken coverage like your boy Hartline's). Here; I'll post gifs of them both!

So you don't want Bengals fans thinking they're getting close to the good playoff teams even though they beat everyone they were supposed to last year and made it to the playoffs, yet you want to believe the Dolphins will win Sunday because they played a good game last week?

I understand now...

One more thing. You ever see a team play down because they didn't take an opponent as seriously as they should have?

Perspective goes both ways.
Last Week>Last Year 2012>2011 FYI

What year was that the bengals got smeared in the super bowl? i would still be embarassed to this day over that lol.

Which one? Super Bowl XVI where they lost by 5 or Super Bowl XXIII when they lost by 1. Both times to the best QB to ever put on a uniform.

I feel so dirty after typing that.

Smeared, huh? The one you're asking about is the one they lost by 6 points. Then there was the other one where they lost by 5.

Last time the Dolphins were in the Super Bowl was 4 years prior to the Bengals last appearance (yay) and they lost 38-16 to the same 49ers who beat the Bengals both times.

God damn Joe Montana, amIright?
okay finally something we agree on screw joe montana

It was the broncos i was thinkin of o well, still sucked. Boomer even likes the jets more than you guys wuts up with that?.
They got DESTROYED 20-16 in 1988. Can you say BLOW OUT!! I've never seen such destruction. And also in 1981 26-21. They got embarrassed like the chumps they are. My main man Dan only lost 38-16. Man these Bengal trolls are foolish.

I notice you didn't mention the 2 rings we got before marino even showed up. Poor boomer went from the crappy bengals to the crappy jets.
so then, who was the better QB....Marino or Greise?

I notice you didn't mention the Super Bowl you lost before the Dolphins won their 2 in a row. To go with my previous post - it, too, was a complete beating; losing to the Cowboys 24-3.

Man, when the 'Phins lost, they lost hard.
you can live in denial all you want, but the truth is we still got 2 rings and you got no rings. It don't mean a thing if you aint got the ring.

I think what he's trying to say is that our franchise history wise is much better than the bengals and the last few playoff appearances don't change that. Unless you just started watching football this decade of course.

I'm not arguing that. I'm just following his trail of thinking. He pointed out my flaw, I pointed out his.

But again, holding on the faded past isn't very becoming. You guys have a good team now - sort of. Same predicament the Browns are in, but you have a better QB and slightly better receivers. They just got you beat on running backs. Richardson is a monster. Reggie Bush - eh, he's good in your scheme, but you have to know that knee of his is on borrowed time.

Tell me about it. The worst part is the Bengals shot themselves in the foot both times. Not the whole team, but usually one key piece doing something stupid the night before.

And when the Bengals won, they...

Oh, that's right.

lol

Jizzmoppers.

Faded memories of decades past...

*goes into old man mode*
Why, i remember when Ken Anderson....

Never mind. If i want long ago memories i'll go watch ESPN Classic.

No one in the NFL thinks trent has suddenly jumped in front of reggie bush as a running back in his dolphin uniform we shouldn't mention injuries from the past when trent has only played 4 games and nothing mind blowing yet.

the thing is you donj't get to make that choice. You find call it holding on ot the faded past because you don't have a history to hold on to. Green bay fans still celebrate the first super bowl. It's not holding on to a faded past its celebrating tradition.
