Very impressive by CK but I thought the interviewing was weak. Nine minutes was plenty of time to ask for quick impressions of every draftee, or at least all the early ones. CK was immensely well prepared, as always, but they were not. It wouldn't have been difficult to isolate some of CK's most specific and unique written points of view on the prime Dolphin picks and ask a related question.
I guess I'm just not a fan of the, "What's your favorite color?" type of questioning, which is what we got here.
I agree the voice did seem a bit different -- older -- than last year on NFL Network. I wasn't posting anywhere Dolphin-related at the time but I happened to catch that segment on Mallett, or at least most of it. That was a riot, the way Baldinger kept trying to bait CK into an argument but CKparriedit effortlessly, and always with a grin. Then at the end Baldinger seemed frustrated it hadn't escalated further and CK signed off with a calm, "Thanks for having me," or something along those lines.
Not exactly what I experienced on Las Vegas radio, when our producer Gene always joked that he could handicap only one thing well -- which combination of guests would require him to abuse the 7 second delay.
