well, lets put it this way. Us being out of this thing does not benefit St Louis. They either deal the skins the pick or they get nothing. I hate to tell ya'll this, but Cleveland aint sellin their 2 1's. they are sitting right where they are and listen up here, may go after Flynn. That happens, and we get Manning, game over for St louis. All Washington has to do then is make sure they get their man when he falls to them. Nothing is happening here folks. Cleveland, Washington, and Miami are waiting for Manning, Flynn, and even talking Tannehill in the process.
Washington is in the drivers seat should they want that #2. But what St Louis is after is Cleveland's picks. Cleveland knows this. They aint budging. They want their picks. If RG3 falls to them, so be it, they take him and keep their other pick.
So you see, we are not out of if and if we somehow get shorted on Manning and Washington or Cleveland take Flynn, the pricetag comes down or nothing gets sold at all and St Louis still picks #2. On any other given year, St louis would have it made. Manning and Flynn really screwed things up. And all the while you keep hearing tidbits that Cleveland may want Flynn and use their other two picks to better the entire team. Same with Washington. Really, St louis is the ones who put this out to Clayton. Its rather obvious isnt it?
We are waiting on Manning. Thats why we are not in this thing.
You're purely assuming that no one else is interested in trading up. There has been a few reports of at least 1 (surprise)team outside of the top 10 already calling STL. Washington does have an advantage in that they'll have a higher pick to offer but i'd bet anything that other teams will be involved before this is all said and done. You assume it's just Miami, Cleveland and Washignton and if Miami signs Manning, Cleveland signs Flynn then STL will be lucky to get much from Washington. Thats just not the case
