CNN'S Twist on Martins sister

WOW....reading this thread was depressing, when a Jet fan is the voice of reason we know we hit rock bottom.....

How can anyone defend this type of behavior without knowing if it was a joke or not? and if it was a joke it went to far.....the problem with this locker room there were no limits....hazing goes on in every locker room but there are limits, lines you don't cross....asking someone to set me up with your sister is one thing, saying what this person said is completely off the charts.....everyone is different and you have to respect everyone's limits.....when I was a kid I busted many peoples chops and had mine busted but we never went over the line, we always new who could handle it and who couldn't....

Richie is a guy who has no limits and having him in a leadership position was a bad decision that we will pay for in the future.....

I was raised to be civil toward fellow human beings; however, sadly due to my pride, weakness and animalistic mind I haven't always practiced that notion. Not everyone is so different as you might think. Most people across the earth want good food, clothing and shelter. They would also like to be safe and at peace if possible. I conceed that there are those among us that have raised themselves to a degree and have never been taught the nature of a civilized man. Boundaries, sensitivities, culture, you name it can summed up as excuse making for the lean toward the animal nature in man and the evil that men do.

And if someone did go over the line, they manned up and apologized for it, something we've yet to hear from Incognito. And as far as I know, it's something he's never done after getting bounced from all the places he's played.
 
****ing ridiculous! They act like **** like this isn't said by anyone! It's like the media tries to pretend like normal people don't say things like this on the regular. It's like when a friend gets called out in a group of people, and most the people in the group are secretly thinking how they do the same thing, but instead just rip into the person. Not that everyone says things like Cog has to Martin, but I guarantee you go through the phones of 10 high school boys phones and you will see all sorts of texts just like Cogs. Immature? For a 31 year old man with the responsibility of being a leader, very. Threatening? Hardly.
 
Again, for the sake of perspective, this is the "network" who has hired someone who by agreeing to 1yr probation and misdemeanor charges in exchange for snitching, has essentially admitted to being a party to, and complicit in the commission of a murder which, if not nailed to the wall and compelled to testify, could well have gone unpunished.

That's not the point. Yea, what he said was messed up. But it's a far cry from threatening to rape someone. It's trash talking. It's what guys do. Do people cross the line? Absolutely. Did Incognito cross the line? Probably. But the media is trying to make him out to be some sociopath, and people are hanging him out to dry and make an example of him. Just because he used racial slurs doesn't make him a racist and just because he joked about what he'd do to Martin's sister doesn't make him a rapist. It makes him just like many other guys who sit around and say crap trying to get under their friends' skin.

The media, however, takes these quotes out of context and put them out as if they should be taken literally. It's stupid.

Reading this thread it is painfully obvious that the vaginafication of America extends well past jmart. Are people really that shocked that immature pro athletes say ridiculous things to each other in an attempt at humor?

There is plenty of evidence that cogs is a scumbag. I want him gone because of what he did to the female volunteer at the golf tournament. Why are people making such a big deal out of locker room jokes, when there was an actual assault that took place.

If they meant it, it would be a serious issue. Anyone that has been around Alpha-males would understand if someone was going to do that for real, they wouldn't talk about it.

In my experience, it's the quiets ones you need to worry about.
