Agreed. We are also rooting for the Heat to beat OKC tonight. Hometown bias is the only reason i found this interview interesting in the first place. We want the Canes to be relevant again the same as we want the Fins to be relevant again. i see no problem with that even if it is a little overly optimistic.

And for the record, I have nothing against the Canes. Honestly.

The Heat on the other hand......actually, I find the NBA completely and totally un-watchable, but ANYBODY that holds a one hour special that is followed by garaunteeing not 4, not 5, not 6....championships should be covered in Honey and burried up to his knees in a fire and hill..... those IDIOTIC glasses are the icing on the cake.

As far as the Heat isn't there a one year statute of limitation on stupidity ? I always had season tickets back when they started up. They were hard to watch so I will enjoy this years title. I hope. True that. I'll say it again- Miller has some of the best feet that I've ever seen on a running back, he picks and hits a hole very well and he can fly.

Well sure. I am a die-hard Lobo's fan!

That doesn't mean I believe that Luke Longley is the reason that Michael Jordan won championships, that Brian Urlacher is the only reason the Bears defense is what it is, or that Stoney Case is the ONLY reason the Lobo's weren't contenders when he was there.

It's all about perspective, and when you are living in a glass bowl, your perspective is NOT very realistic.

I honestly don't even see the incredible Longhorn/Maverick/Cowboy/Ranger homerism here in the middle of DFW that I see on this and site...although, it is a bit ridiculous here at times...especially Cowgirl fans.

U of M has been completely and totally off the map for a decade. The ideology that we (The Dolphins) would be MUCH better off if we had just drafted more U of M players is what is absurd!

The fact that Golden is calling three of our picks 1st round picks is ABSURD.

Not that I disagree with Golden calling those dudes 1st round picks, but let me say that I think we would be better off drafting more Miami players.

I think everyone will be surprised at how good Vernon is.

Miller, not so much. I was not a fan of drafting Miller because I know how busted that shoulder is and I know how much dancing he likes to do in the backfield.

But there is so much NFL talent in South Florida that it makes sense to draft these kids. Miami's #1 problem has been coaching for a good part of the decade that you mention.

But we've seen other teams draft Miami kids and get A LOT more out of them than we did when they were at Miami. Bruce Johnson comes to mind first.

We moved that kid all around and he just couldn't do anything right. Wide receiver...defensive back. Couldn't pick it up. Finally, we stuck him on punt coverage as a gunner where he excelled.

Green Bay drafts him and he contributes a great deal during his rookie season as Green Bay rolled to a Super Bowl.

Jimmy Graham. Good grief did I kick yell and scream to draft that guy. DeMarcus Van Dyke had maybe four tackles in his entire career. Then he gets to the NFL and all of a sudden he can tackle. SMH.

Our coaching has been HORRID.

He got hurt in the second quarter of that Super Bowl (I think) and didn't return. But what little he played he stepped up.

Point is, there's just no other way to explain this stuff with Miami players. Miami's depth has been WEAK for several years now. All jobs are pretty much open for the taking yet guys like Sam Shields can't take a job from Freshmen and Sophomores. Sam Shields can't cover average receivers in the WEAK ACC.

But he goes to the NFL and finds a starting job on the Super Bowl champion Packers. That right there is coaching. There is no way that the light bulb just went on when Sam got to the NFL. Doesn't work that way. Ted Thompson identified Sam's strengths during evaluations and decided that they could turn him into a real football player.

The thing is, Golden told these guys they were making the wrong decision. They got too caught up believing Rosenhaus and others they were 1st/2nd round picks. Golden tried to tell them it wasn't happening. He's just being a salesman at this point and sticking up for his players.
