Wow now that's incredible, manning can't throw until april per NFL network, guys does that mean that the horses will have to just release or sign him without any knowledge of what's he's capable of doing? with 28mil coming out of my coffers I would defibely release him regardless of what he can do if your'e going to sign Andrew Luck, as a matter of fact i think that it's disrespectful not to let him know with only 10 days away. How do you guys think this will play out? Either way it's good for Miami because it forces the hands of the colts and let the fins see how they are going to approach the QB situation pretty soon.

Manning can throw just not for the team per the new CBA. The colts medical staff can watch and report back to the Colts but no video can be taken.

With all that has happened...the firing of the GM, the coach, and the statements coming from Irsay, I would say the decision is made.
They are just waiting to the very last moment to make the announcement to protect themselves. They will not pay Peyton.
The starting QB for the Colts will be Andrew Luck.
Peyton Manning will likely land in Miami.

I guess that's good for us but it also worries me..If the Dolphins are all in on Manning, we are definetly missing out on Flynn.. and we have no clue as what kind of Manning we are getting. If it's 85% of old Manning, that's still better than majority of QBs in the league.. Also,I realize that Manning's contract is going to be very performance based, but another year of sucking if he doesn't work out for us just...well, kind of sucks

Im sure hes not playing for the colts, but if they really wanted to cut and resign him to a new contract, they could do so during free agency. Im also pretty sure that means they can watch him on march 13th like all other teams can, being that they are giving him a workout.

bring Peyton on, i dont think he would put himself on the field if he couldnt play. too much of a professional.

Not being able to throw for any Colts management except the medical staff tells me Peyton will be a free agent and the Dolphins will be in hot pursuit.

I say just move up and try to get Robert Griffin.Even with a healthy peyton in a coulple years we have to start all over again trying to find our next quarter back.I love peyton i even live in Indiana but its about time we find our quarter back for the present and for the future. If peyton does well here we wont be in a position to draft a very good quarter back.

I think the colts will sign andrew luck prior to releasing peyton manning for p r purposes.. they can essentially draft the number 1 pick whenever they want so I think they it do it early to save face and energize the fan base

I am not so sure that report is entirely accurate. I didn't dig through the CBA extensively but what I did find expresses what is reported from the time frame of April 1st (for new Coaches) April 16th for returning coaches and the start of Mandatory pre-season actives players a strictly forbidden from any voluntary or involuntary workouts. But during the off-season it seems that activities are allowed voluntarily as long as you follow some guidelines set forth by the CBA.

If I read it right Peyton can throw if it is voluntary and video tapped for the league.

I think they'd do that if they could, but it's going to cost them 28million in a roster bonus to do that just for PR purposes. I don't think they value the PR that much. They will have to make that decision way before the draft happens, so with all the talking that's been going on between him and the owner . . . there is no way he's back in Indy.

i just wish this was all over with. i just want to know what the colts are going to do already
