Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

I love how people think the Colts want our spare parts. Players like both Wilsons, Gaskin, Ahmed, etc, have pretty much no trade value at all.
That’s not true imo, all our backs can play and be productive

I actually think Ahmed is ready to break out a bit

Achane went in the 3rd. Most experts think the cost would be between a 2nd and a 4th. The Colts also want a RB in return. They have a raw rookie QB. It only makes sense that they ask for Achane. I wouldn't make that trade because of the difference in salaries and the presence of our other 2 RBs.

Achane would be traded all day every day in that scenario for me.

A 24 yr old RB, already been able to lead the league in rushing
Over
A rookie who is undersized and already injured twice in asmany weeks.
Another RB who has never been able to play more then 8 games in a season
Another RB, 31 years old who has only been able to play 1 complete season and last year was his 1st year he was able to rush more then 137 times.

Our current RB would in no way keep me from trading for Taylor. Everyone of them is expendable.

If Achane makes the trade compensation minimal without having to trade a day 1 or even day 2 pick
Achane would have been traded yesterday in my opinion lol

Mostert, Wilson, Ahmed and Gaskin were all free agents that signed for dirt cheap. If other teams really wanted any of them, they could have easily outbid us.

Going into this off season, I never saw anything special in Ahmed. And while he ran well last week, I just can't get the image of him getting completely flattened in pass protection out of my head. I'm assuming he's playing the final preseason game. Hopefully he can show he can actually pass block a little bit or else he needs to go.

To be fair, the guy that did it to him looks like he's going to be the best defensive player since Parsons

They were the favorites for Cook too. **** it.

Ya, unless you paid attention to everything the team was saying and doing about it. I never got the sense we we're going to sign Cook after June 1st.

I believe Taylor will be a Miami Dolphin. Been wrong before but I am going to predict we make the deal here.
