Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

Cowherd says we can trade for Taylor and afford him becuase we have no interest in giving Tua an extension. Says Tua will not be extended even if he makes a probowl due to his concussion issues and that no team will ever give him a big contract

🙄

Telling you someone shoukd create a website that holds this idiots accountable

Kind of like Joey Toonz does to idiot tick tockers

Jackson is very adamant the Dolphins are working hard on a deal.
Problem is we’re competing with other teams, this one does have hometown favoritism, best deal wins

Miami can clear out about $100m in cap space for 2024. But it's going to cost them several big time players and some depth on the team. I've always been skeptical of big contracts. With Tua, Waddle, Phillips, Wilkins and potentially Holland and Seiler needing new contracts, it's going to take some big time cap management and good drafting to get it done right. Howard and Ramsey are the two players with big contracts that would potentially be jettisoned to potentially sign all the upcoming players over the next few years. Hopefully Indianapolis is willing to take back a contract. Doubtful but hopeful.

The Big O is an idiot. Spent all day screaming yesterday that Grier would never trade for a running back.

Whoops!

I never really thought they'd do the Cook deal because of his age.

Taylor is so young though.

I do think he's the wrong kind of back, but I guess we'll see. I'd feel a lot better about it if Wilson was included (to reduce the cap cost).
In what way?

I agree about Wilson, if they do make a trade.

Turncoat Coward can say these things because he doesn't own the responsibility of finding a replacement for Tua if he isn't extended and retained.

I mean, who does Coward think is going to QB the team when Tua leaves (under his scenario)? Miami isn't likely going to have a very high 1st round pick in 2024 and trading assets for Jonathan Taylor further limits their options in finding another QB. Is there a no-brainer upgrade that's going to be available as an unrestricted FA that the Dolphins can afford in 2024???

Coward never thinks things through. :poke:

Most of all, he's wrong about Tua not being extended if he has a big season. That's just his ego not wanting to come off his poor take.

I'm not convinced that Taylor is an excellent reciever... and I'd like to have that in a bell cow, if we are going to have a bell cow.
There is no doubt in my mind that Taylor is a top three back in the NFL, but I'd prefer a Kamara type in this day and age.

Taylor is definitely big enough to give us red zone, short yardage, and pass pro though... so there's that.

He's a great (and young) back. I just dont believe he's the perfect back.

Read this as VERY mild criticism.
