Ya in a way he does because he could say I'm not signing a contract extension if he gets traded to a team he doesn't want to go to. Plus why would a team give up assets to trade for him if they know he doesn't want to go there?

Well, technically he has no choice if he is traded. The reality, though, is that no team is going to trade for him without an extension agreement in place.
800 yards backs with 1 year left on their rookie contract won’t deter a team on the cusp of a championship.
Don’t forget Swift got dumped by Detroit so they could take a RB at 12 overall. A RB who’s career college rushing output equaled only one of Taylor’s single season collegiate totals. For perspective.
I’ll take Mostert, Wilson, Achane over Swift any day of the week and I still want Taylor.
