Joe Dolfan
Active Roster
I think you need to go back another decade. SF roster was better than ours in '84.It seriously will be the most talented roster in the league. That has NEVER been the case since maybe 84.

No running game? They actually ran for 120 yards a game, even though Dan set every single season passing record. Would've been even better, but David Overstreet tragically died in a car accident in the offseason.Yep! Mediocre defense, no running game in 84. We should be the opposite this year.
Wait. Or if you can't get some tissue at least. Hard to read what your typing lolHoly sh*t, I didn't realize this was actually a serious possibility.
YES PLEASE.
I guess this could possibly manifest if there's a way to unload one of these heavy contracts in the process. I can totally see Ross behind this pushing Grier to make this move!
I like Ogbah, and feel he's going to shine when he regains momentum. I would keep him around, although I would entertainin involving CW in the trade. He's just going to demand too much for his role.
Anyhow I'm remaining non-attached because ultimately I love this RB committee we currently have.
Wilkins >>> Taylor. If Wilkins is involved in any kind of trade, we have become a significantly worse team.I guess this could possibly manifest if there's a way to unload one of these heavy contracts in the process. I can totally see Ross behind this pushing Grier to make this move!

MondayToday's the day folks. Buckle up.
Ohhhh yeah!!!!!!!
For serious
I understand what you're saying, but I still don't make that trade. Whether it's Taylor or Wilkins, both will want to get paid. If it comes down to one year rentals to make a run, Wilkins is much more important. If you plan on paying Taylor $12 mill a year and keeping a guy like Sieler at $10 mill, as opposed to paying Wilkins $20 mill, I still take Wilkins. In my view, any way you spin it, involving Wilkins in any kind of trade significantly hurts our chances this year and in the future. If Taylor had 2-3 years left on a cheap deal, I would be more inclined to consider it, but he doesn't.I agree 100% on Wilkins>>>Taylor.
However, if you, as a GM, realize there's just no chance of resigning Wilkins. You're too far apart in negotiations. Then it's a trade you make. Though, I would prefer a lineman.
But, Taylor would benefit this team more then any 3rd round compensatory pick if Wilkins walks.
Of course, I am not advocating for a Wilkins trade. All I am saying is if a deal will NOT happen now is the time to get a premium return.
I don't think we are? There's a reason why DTs get $100 million deals. Guys like Wilkins don't grow on trees, and not to mention he's the heart and soul of our Defense. You guys are greatly overvaluing Wilkins.
I promise you, JT would have more impact on the Win-Loss chances than CW.I don't think we are? There's a reason why DTs get $100 million deals. Guys like Wilkins don't grow on trees, and not to mention he's the heart and soul of our Defense.
