Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

Seeing reports that after week 4 trade talks with Taylor will pick back up and that the Colts will be more realistic in their expectations.

I'm sorry, but if we can add maybe the best RB in the league at a good price to this passing game this offense would be absolutely ridiculous. And there may be games due to weather or whatever where we may need to rely on the running game to pull out a win. I'd hate to see him go to another AFC contender like Baltimore or Buffalo.
If they are going to trade for a player and pay him big dollars, I would prefer that player be a top ILB or a big run stopping DT.

The Dolphins offense is already “absolutely ridiculous” with the players they have now.

How in the world is recognizing there's costs to driving a big truck 20 miles "voodoo"???

I did mention using the standardized deduction as a benchmark...

Did you miss that????

Nope. I value time.

Coupons can be ok. Driving a little bit extra is probably ok. But given that the whole point of issuing coupons is to induce demand, one would need to be cognizant if you're actually saving money or not. One wouldn't actually have to do any calculations if they don't feel like it. Just know it's easy to go broke saving money.

Keyboards are ALOT cheaper than vehicles. Please get your head around that. Think expenditure vs capital asset. So that not a logical example. If you take the trip to get gas again, think about me. I can buy a new keyboard, immediately throw it away, and it might be a better decision than your gas buying. But whereas buying a new keyboard only to throw it away would be dumb, you think you are being clever. Good for you. GOD, I hope you never complain about gas prices with that big truck of yours. Think about that one. Also, most other states highly subsidize road construction and maintenance through income and property taxes. PA doesn't so I hope you never complain about road conditions.

I no longer live in PA.

I cannot believe you're still arguing this point. It's an F-150. It gets 20 miles to the gallon.

What depreciation value would you designate on a 10 year-old truck per mile? This is entirely up to you, and since you threw this in there to try and prove that I'm not actually saving money, I'd like to know.

This. However...if you tell me we can "rent" Jonathan Taylor this year and not have to pay him? I would gladly spend a 2nd round pick for that to see him in this offense.

I just don’t think MCDaniel would utilize him as much as some people on here believe he would.

This team is a pass first offense and centered around Tua and the receivers. The RB’s they have now fit this offense fine.

Taylor hasn’t played at all since last season. He had ankle surgery in the off season and spent all training camp and now the first 4 games this season on PUP. If he was fully healthy and was coming off a great season I could understand trading for him.

Yet there is no way of knowing how long it would take him to learn the offense and get into playing shape. I think it would be ridiculous to , “rent” him for a year and give up a second round pick. If it was only for the remaining games this season after he comes off PUP, I wouldn’t offer more than a 6th round pick for him.

After losing JK Dobbins for the season, the obvious destination for Jonathan Taylor is Baltimore. They will be very desperate and probably prepared to dig deep.

Either that or grab Hunt.
Dual threat RB without taking up another draft pick and big contract.

Do u know of a team shopping players like that? We had that chance last year with Smith and passed stupidly.

I don’t know how anyone could be opposed to adding the top RB in the league if it’s at a good price.
How many times have Fin fans said over the years, “What if Marino would’ve had a top RB alongside him?” Taylor would make EVERY part of this offense better.
