Matt ... nice work, although the more we start sharing the same opinions, the more frightened I become.

That sent a chill thorugh me... :rofl3:

Thanks Doc. Maybe we are just both getting old and softer.

Fairly weak in all regards. Poor piece of writing, with "homer" dripping all over it.

Yeah, not at all like your brilliant, well-thought-out and insightful posts. In fact, if Shakespeare were alive today, and writing about football, he'd clearly go by the moniker "Megatron".

Seriously, what's homer-ish about that article? If you want to disagree with the conclusion and the methods as to getting there, go ahead, but that was an objective article that took a viewpoint based on the fact that teams (the Dolphins included, I might add) are not at all shy about chewing up players and spitting them out when their usefulness has expired.

Good article, though I don't agree on certain points, you forgot to mention the millions that Montana, Marino and others have made throughout their long careers, not just the NFL. Those athletes got paid, maybe not as much as they deserve but they earned their due, Ricky has not earned his yet!

...and I do believe that Saban has made the right choice, really what has Ricky done to Saban, nothing out of disrespect yet. Even though Ricky has already had numerous chances in the NFL...

In conclusion, I will support the team as I always had for the last 30+ years, and as always I will support my favorite players, just that none of them are named Ricky.

Thanks Phil. I appreciate the support. I know not everyone agrees with the conclusions, but I think the article was not that bad. And I think this is the first time in my three years that I have been accused of being a homer!

He must not have been aorund for all my Wanny/Fiedler bashing. :D
