Take your ticket to the window in Vegas, and you get your money back. Push=No action!

.

Even though he talks a big game, he isn't even old enough to go to Vegas! (or at least go and have fun). He is talking over his head (like he always does) once again.

He's one of these message board bully's who talks tough. Never says anything but likes to tear down everyone elses opinion. He also talks big but goes into hiding when his teams lose!

He takes a fun litlte column like this. Nothing more than some light-hearted fun and finds a way to take cheap shots at me and try and turn this into an argument. If you don't like the column or me.....then ignore it. Yet, he is a child (hence not knowing the betting rules of vegas) and just wants attention so he must throw a hissy fit and try and cause trouble to bring attention to himself.

i agree with the GT pick. UNC is horrible with a very anemic offense that couldnt score in their own blue and white game. Gt will roll!!!

I also like Ohio St. over Texas. I know, everyone says Vince Young and company will be in the national championship game. I just dont think so. Nobody goes into ohio st. and wins with Tressel there. Also, everytime Mack Brown gets into a huge game vs a top ten team (usually Oklahoma) he falls flat on his face. Close game but it is a pick em, take Ohio St.

Miami +5, I like it, take the points. We will play good defense again this year and even with a horrilbe record last year, we were close in most of our games.

I will go against you on the Bills game. Bills defense will IMO clobber the Texans who just can not keep drives going. I dont like the Texans Offense and really dont like their run D vs Willis. IMO take the Bills.

Ok, So I went 2-2 in my first try at posting my picks for the week. I was really impressed with Texas Sat. night and they outplayed Ohio St. in a great game. As for the GT game, all I can say is the better team won and it was one of those deals that they tried running out the clock for a quater and half instead of putting up points. Oh well! I have to say my sunday picks were much better, plus I had four other sunday games picked in another spot and got all 6 right! Biggest suprise of the weekend has to be SF winning and ST louis looking horrible. Alright, I will post some more picks next week and see if I can do even better.

hey Mike! that reads like you're talking about ME!! ... :D

I like getting points and having GB in this game. At the end of last year, according to pure point power ratings systems GB would have have been a 5 to 6 point favorite. Plus Detriot's Offense has been terrible in preseason. And Bill Bates will be running GB's D. No more blitzs, make Detriot drive the lengh of field...

Pay no more attention to me...

Nah, we are just having fun here. A concept SOME people (well, 1 person) can't seem to grasp!

Keep the picks coming! Even the experts aren't perfect.

It's interesting, when I used to bet, I had all of my success early on and I felt like the books figured things out by week 5 and made it a lot tougher. It went like that 3 seasons straight, at which point I decided to stop betting.

I think Weeks 2-4 are three best weeks to bet on the NFL. Week One is a complete crapshoot.
Weeks 2 through 4 you can get some really good spreads on games cuz the bookie's haven't quite figured out where the public's money is going yet.........just my opinion.

Next week i like.

Houston +6 against pittsburgh

Miami ML over NYJ. Might be a homer pick, but the jets looked like ish, and i think the dolphins have a legit team.

Tennessee +4 over Baltimore

Baltimore has a decent offensive line, and jamal lewis is good, but he won't carry the load. I like the points here. I could see Balt winning by 3. Also, Boller is out and anothny wright looked horrible.

Lions -2 over Bears. Lions D looked good, bears offensive is terrible.

Dallas -6 over washington

Indy -9 looks solid too.

My week 2 picks.

Bills +2.5 over Tampa
Browns +6.5 over Green Bay
Chargers +3 over Denver
Dolphins +6 over Jets

I would agree with that. I mean SF still sucks. Don't ya think the line next week with them will be a little lower after 1 win now? That team has nothing, but they found a way to win in Week 1.

I will be more than happy if they lay down even a -10 on Philly next week. Win or lose tonight, they will beat up on San Fran next week pretty good.

i never bet during the first 4 weeks, and i always do a fake bet and just sorta pick the games i WOULD bet on, and of course i went 7-2 :fire: oh well....
