The casual fan isn't aware of the stats and/or doesn't care. There's a hot new QB in San Francisco. Increased ratings are a given with a storied franchise like theirs.

We will see how good of QB he is this year. He still needs to prove he can perform for a full season. The networks are hitching their wagon to him. I think it will be funny if he doesn't live up to the high expectations this year.

It's real simple, they suck in primetime games on the road and do okay in primetime games at home.
