2. Dolphins  Given the opportunity to select the best quarterback in the draft besides Alex Smith, Miami opted to pick a running back. With Ricky Williams returning from his bizarre off-season of finding himself (smoking cannabis) and holistic healing, the Dolphins now seem to have an embarrassment of riches at running back. Well, that'll only be the case when Williams is done serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. When Williams comes back, the Dolphins could be 0-4. This is because of the team's complete lack of quality at the quarterback position. Miami continues to struggle to fill that spot with anybody good since the retirement of Dan Marino.

3. Dolphins  Teal is a horrible color to sport if you're attempting to be a respectable pro football team, but the color is great on the outfits of the league's sideline eye candy. While the product on the field in Miami figures to be horrible at best this season, the fans can still enjoy this team's lone redeeming quality, its cheerleaders.
 
Umm, we have Gus Frerotte as our starting QB and an unproven offense.


Why would anyone actually rank us higher if they wanted to keep their jobs?

I would have us ranked in the bottom 5 in the NFL. And thats based solely on last year and the fact that we have no QB. Throw in a 1st year coach who hasnt won a single NFL game and it makes perfect sense if you take off your homer glasses.
 
That's where we belong until we prove it on the field. I have no problem with it.
 
It's up to your team to go out and prove them wrong. There's nothing you can do about the colors though. It's someones personal opinion.
 
This post isn't about rankings, I'm just talking about cheap shots and dis-respect...

I really don't feel that 1 bad year warrants such critisism..

I've said it before, I think that this team closer resembles the 02', 03' Phins than last year's team..
 
Sounds like a pretty accurate statement to me.
 
I just don't like the point to say we could have taken the second best QB... Don't even mention a name. My guess is because even they know that there was NO QB (besides Smith) worth the number 2 pick. That is just a poor cheap shot.

I do agree that we should have taken a QB, IF there was a worthy one, but come on reaching at the number 2 pick is what causes bad teams. Have to draft BPA. That part of the article is just silly.
 
Whenever I read a thread started like this I wonder where the poster lives. All throughout my life being a Finfan living in NY and now in Boston I have to have a thick skin, even when our team was good.

Our team was horrible last season. All sportswriters have nothing better to write about until the season starts. Even Arizona looks good this year, so who else can they pick on? Why would anyone take an article to heart? They end it by talking about the colors on our uniforms. It isn't really in depth to say the least. Yes they take an unecessary shot at us, so what? With a win Sunday all this could change. Relax and enjoy the season.
 
I don't agree with 'horrible at best' and 'will be just awful this season'. C'mon people, we're only one year removed from 10-6. You really think we'll be so horrible?

they dont like the Brown pick. but you didnt know if ricky would be comming back. hes not to high on your QB, but hes better than Rodgers at this point.

EDIT: i just noticed this dumb a$$ doesnt like he bills stadium... :yell:

the field turf is some of the best stuff in the NFL. atleast we're not playing on the "infield" like some stadiums...:fire:

We aren't that horrible. We are just the joke of the NFL right now b/c of our season last year. It's up to the team to prove everyone wrong.
 
We should start a thread listing all of the bad things being said by the media, etc... along with that person's name, and revisit it when we prove their butts wrong.

i think it would be interesting if someone did that for the things said by the members here. it would be interesting to see how peoples opinions change, and have changed.
