Do you live near downtown Miami?
I've heard comments about this from Dolphins and Canes season ticket holders. The reality is, you can partially rescue your season ticket outlay and significantly reduce your cost per game if you sell the handful of games that are in demand. The fans of out of town teams are willing to pay significantly above face value. I never sell my Canes tickets other than last season when my dad was in his final days and couldn't attend. I put our tickets to the Florida State game on Craigslist and was offered 5x face value from a couple of Seminole fans who called the day before the game. They were out of luck. I had sold the tickets for face value a couple of days earlier. Given my dad's condition I wasn't looking to make a financial score even though I realized I was losing out. A nice lady called and offered condolences about my dad's health so I sold them to her.
I've checked the ticket sites this season and the difference from game to game is glaring. I got decent seats for $26 apiece for the Bengals game with no added cost. There are no bargains like that for the Patriots game, and same to lesser degree even for the Jets game. The northeastern rivals have fans willing to pay.
BTW, the key stat is we are forfeiting 1.5 to 2 points per game on average while playing in this stadium. The late money in a competitive game generally shows on the road team due to our weak home field and I'd expect similar this weekend. Line has dropped to pick or Patriots -1.

Well that should make it more enjoyable for the dolphins fans. More fans to heckle while the fins pound the pats. It's always a blast watching enemy fans walk to their cars with their tails between their legs. Give 'em hell finfans !!!!

You haven't been to Miami of late
Fact is, there are few hardcore Dolphin fans just like there are few hardcore Hurricane fans. That's just how it is. Demographics, snowbirds, tourism all plays a part. I'm not offering an excuse because I have never gave a shat about how many fans my Miami teams have. I love the clueless folks who vomit about how the Hurricanes can't sell out games like that of other colleges. You do realize we're a private university with approx 11,000 kids, right? When you win they unfortunately all come trolling along claiming their love for their team, blah, blah, blah. (ex: Heat) That's why I don't care if we sell out the stadium if it's because of the lemming fair weather and bandwagon fans. I'm there, watching the game, regardless.

This is why I'll be sad if the team moves. Gonna feel like -27 with the windchill here tonight, whenever I do go to see a game it usually coincides with our Canadian winter and I try stay in Miami for about a week. Its also a reason there'll always be a team in Miami, even if your team sucks the opposing teams fans will still come.
Also Ireland/Sparano played a big part in the disappearing fan act and until Ireland starts winning a **** load of games, particularly at home, its not going to get better.

I live about 3 hours from the stadium and make a game or two each year. I like to go with people so we usually schedule something and make an event out of it. I enjoy my team and the experience. I can't defend my neighbor or the guy down the street when the national fan base attacks them for not going to every game, but i don't like being grouped into a fan base that doesn't care about my team because i don't go to every home game and live in the state. Some of these posts are very repetitive and annoying, blatant baiting attacks.
