confusion about ricky's status

Yes but if he has a good season, he could become tradeable again!!!
That is probably the only legitimate reason to pick him back up and give him a shot. Let him go somewhere else and get something (ANYTHING!) for him that we can.

a 27 year old edgerrin james couldn't get traded for a 2nd round pick... whos gonna trade for a 29 year old ricky williams who even if he does decent wont put up huge numbers because a) he'll only play half the season and b) brown will be getting some carries... and whos heart is in question...

if we're gonna get him in, disrupt the locker room, take away from browns development, have to cut guys to free up cap room, release a young maybe promising RB to have a roster spot... all to trade him next year for a 5th round draft pick, i dont think its worth it...

i thought i was the only one.. .now we gotta make up cap room, gotta get him a spot wth a deep young RB core... if he plays it takes away from browns development... if he plays half *** cause his heart isn't into it it hurts the entire team... i just would rather go into the season knowing ricky is done and hes never playing again and we can go on with our football team...

I really want to see Brown when he is the unquestioned starter and that is part of the reason I never want Ricky back again. My other reason is because I still hate him for what he did to our team

Ricky presents too much value to this franchise to turn him away, plain and simple. Let's not forget he's the reason a 10-6 team minus him goes 4-12.

no the reason for that is because when he left we had nobody at RB, Gordon could of made a difference if he was healthy but whenever you have Sammy Morris who is basically a FB starting at RB for your team thats a big minus
