Congradulations Fish fans...come serve me up my crow.

watch your mouth. hoofbeats came back to own up and congratulate us. Your comment was unnecessary and adds nothing to the conversation. If you wish to talk smack, take it to the depths...
Yea what you said! That was a mature display of humble humility, and we should be grateful for it. $uperbowlchamp needs to grow the F**k up show some respect. Besides we don't need the bad Karma around here, we're going in a new direction and are going to need all the mojo we can get following us up to New york. That will let us know where we stand, 3 turnovers and 7 or 8 really stupid penalties is not going to cut it next sunday!;)

Thank you for the props man! I think you will be fine. This was a must win for us to get ready for the season. I think you will bounce back from this. I hope Champ isn't out long. I didn't hear the injury report on him. He played a great game before getting injured. I hate injuries. I hope we can meet again in the playoffs but, I am not going to hold my breath. We still have a good ways to go before we see you in the playoffs.

Good luck to you the rest of the season. I am sure you will make a run.
Separated shoulder... don't know how long he'll be out though.

OK Fish fans...I said I'd be here win or lose...here I am. Congradulations on a great game. You're team played great. They came prepared to play and play hard. On our board right now an argument is raging about the heat being a factor in this. I think that's a very poor excuse. I know it's a factor but it wasn't the reason we lost this game. We got the crap kicked out of us from the first whistle, offense, defense, special teams, coaching...they all stunk. I posted on the Orange Mane that in spite what some are saying, the history of both the Dolphins and Bucs shows that when either of these teams is a .500 team or better, then have a great home record in September, and when they are below .500 then win about 30% or fewer of their home games in Septmember. Look it up and you'll see. Bottom line: Good teams do what's neccessary to win and bad teams don't. The heat did not lose this game. We stunk from the very beginning, long before the heat would have been a factor. Some observations:

1. When Mike Anderson went out right off the bat in the 1st quarter, which was a huge blow. Shannahan failed to adjust our running attack for Tatum Bell. TB is not a between the tackles power runner like MA and that was a horrible failure on his part. This was possibly the worst game I've seen from him. He had months to work on a game plan for Saban and got PUNKED by a rookie head coach. Shanny looked like Dan Reeves on a three day drunk in this game.

2. We failed to execute accross the board. Much of this was the Dolphins play as well, but there's no way this was anything less than a completely pathetic performance on Denver's part, and virtually every player on this team stunk it up. This is on the players as well as the coaches. They came in here expecting the Fins to lay down and they didn't. I think they were already planning on San Diego. Hopefully this is a huge wakeup call. Kudos to Saban for having his team ready. If he can prepare them this well each week you have a chance to suprise some people. It's very early, but I think you are better than last year for sure, though I still don't see more than maybe 8-8. That would still be a nice jump. We'll see what happens against San Diego next week but if we play like we did today we'll get beat by 50 next week. This team flat was not prepared to play this game and there is blame enough for everyone. Rod Smith may have been the only guy I saw who shouldn't be hangng his head right now.

3. Jake Plummer was ridiculous. I said Gus was a backup QB and I still believe that, but he flat out made Jake look like a rookie free agent today. Missed reads, missed passes, poor decisions...Jake has tons of work to do this week. We'll find out what he's made of this week.

4. Losing Champ was huge and losing Walls and Darrent Williams made it impossible to do anything. We had backup safety Sam Brandon starting at CB most of the 2nd half...LOL. I was amazed it took Gus so long to pick on him. Even at safety he's not a great coverage guy, but as a corner...he's completely lost. I don't want to use losing all these secondary guys as an excuse either, because even while they were in there the sucked.

I hope I was able to represent the Broncos fans well in here by keeping things on a football level instead of smack. I called it 35-10 Denver...the joke's on me. So whatever way you want to serve up my crow...I'm here to eat it. It's a long season. Maybe down the road we'll see you guys again. But if today was any indication, I doubt it. We have an extremely difficult schedule this year so if we don't pull our heads out we'll be going nowhere. I've watched this team for 36 years and in that time I've seen some sad stuff. There have been few any worse than this. I'm a diehard fan and will always support my team through good and bad...even though right now I'm just p*****. :fire:

Again...congradulations to Saban and the Fins players for a great and well deserved win. Now I'd like you to do us a favor and beat the dog outta our AFC rivals as well if you don't mind...:fire:
VERY classy.. I mean it... you should take a lot of pride in yourself and teams should have more fans like you, you sir have set a shining example for all of us and we should learn from it and carry ourselves in the same manner at all times. Kudos to you.
;)

the ponies did not look past the Fins. The players did not play that bad all across the board.

They were out right out played and out coached. R You telling me that it takes a bad performance on your side of the ball for Carter,JT,Traylor,ZT,Jr, Booker and others to play well on our side? JT makes alot of guys look bad. It is not b/c they play bad. It is b/c they are not as good as JT and co.

How is it that you had room to run and then it just disappered, is playing bad on your side of the ball. That is outstanding play on Miami's side. Rod Smith played lights out. Bell did well considering what he was up against. That D line is littered w/ tallent. Booker is a very good wr and was covered very well, along w/ Boston and CC. The coverage was not that bad. Yeah you had a break down on the reverse. But to say you just played bad ball is a cop out. You were beat by a better team! That is it.

I give you respect for coming back to take the lashing, but we for the most part are not going to brag and pounce on you. That is just being classy on your side and ours. Hopefully the Broncos can get healthy and put together a good season.

Bailey is not over rated for those who say that. The wr knows where he is going and the db's do not. They get beat here and there. Den has talent but the D is ?able.

Classy move HoofBeats. You kept your word. It really does take a lot of balls to come back here and post like you did. Many props to you and good luck to your team the rest of the way, especially against AFC East teams. :D

nice unbiased report from a Broncos guy, classy

but I dissagree on the heat not being a factor, I think it was in the 4th quarter - Booker isn't a speed demon but got behind the safety and corner on that TD catch and never looked back.

Hoof,

Well, you did what most of us PhinFans need to do. Own up to our lack of faith. I'll go even further, as to not generalize dolphin fans, but I lacked the belief that we would do anything spectacular this year. Boy was I wrong and boy am I glad that I didn't go through with my original $1000 bet on the Under of 38.5 points for the game. I was gonna double it and take the broncos and the under, only because I was sure we were in a re-building year...my Dad talked me out of it (something about being greedy). Saban must have talked to him, cause he showed me what it means to be in the NFL and how the Dolphins continually come to PLAY!!! Way to be classy Hoof and show me that I need my lumps as well. (FYI--I have always loved the fins and I bleed the aqua and orange, so go easy on calling me a sellout and not a true fan...I can be wrong...everyone gets one right? Now GO PHINS!!!)

Only a couple people realize this post for what it is. Let me paraphrase:

Our team is better than yours. We just had an off day. We lost some guys to injury. Our guys played badly. Your team still sucks. We didn't even consider this a game. We were treating it as a warm-up for San Diego.

Don't be jumping on people for having some reading comprehension and realizing this guy is just trying to save face for talking trash and his team getting totally dominated.

cut him a break guys... what would you be saing about him if he never came back? (as most of the Donk fans).
Of course he was trying to save face... something that real men do when they talk smack and their team gets beat.
IMO... better to come back and save a little face, than to hide and never come back like a wimp...
He's trying to show some good sportsmanship... we should all do the same.

Ronnie Brown pounded Champ pretty hard on that wonderful dirt infield. I hope Champ recovers quickly. Having Ronnie Brown run over the teams best corner may be a good strategy for future games...but, you hate to see injuries.

We were able to continue with our game plan because of it's balanced design. Anytime the opposing team loses a quality player like Champ, it's going to take a little more wind out of their sails.

Great sportsmanship Hoofbeats - you are an honorable foe :). I wish you guys the best of luck this season, except of course against our beloved Dolphins :D .
