Congratulations former Dolphin’s DC Vic Fangio

Winner? Up until the having a stacked defense this past year, when did he win? As head coach?

Edit to add 19-30 record as HC in Denver. 👍

McDaniel. 27-20

current winner....as in, Fangio made the right choice and now has a ring. Meanwhile Mcdaniel's seat is on fire, it's so hot.

But I will say that Mcdaniel did a very nice job finding a replacement in Anthony Weaver, who hopefully will take over Mcdaniels position in a few months.

lol, **** Vic Fangio. Adam Gase could call a defense when the players can get consistent pressure with 3 or 4 rushers.

We better not touch our awesome rotation of Chubb, Phillips, and Chop. Just draft another DT, re-sign Campbell and we're cooking on the DL. ****, before the injuries we were looking great under Fangio. Find a stud DT to pair with Seiler and I swear we'll look amazing.
So your fine with an older DE who blow out his entire knee and another DE that blew out his knee and Achilles? Wow

We need to draft an Edge or sign one. We can’t depend on Phillips and Chub even though they re talented. We also need a DT and this draft is rich with them.

I dont think he "acted like a A-hole" I just think thats his personality. during the superbowl the broadcasters even mentioned about maybe seeing Vic smile for a rare change. This is on McDaniel, for creating a soft and weak culture. And how in the world during the interview process with Vic did the two sides not see this bad fit is beyond me. Vic is the winner and Mcdaniel is the loser, So I still can not blame Vic for getting out of this dysfunction and weak minded head coach.
I never said he wasn't a good coach.

I am not quite willing to concede that everything that is bad in the world today is McDaniel's fault but that is certainly the dogma mere at Finheaven so I won't bother trying to fight it.

But Fangio acted like a prick while in Miami, took the money and shortchanged them on his performance, the fact that the team let him walk away for free shows you how unwelcome he made himself.

His behavior was classless and unprofessional and what level of coach you think either Fangio or McD are does not change that.

BTW...............Vic Fangio Head Coaching record - 19-30
Mike McDaniel Head Coaching record - 28-23

That was my point. But I don't think we should draft this year. We need interior more imo. We can definitely bring a fa in though

What? 80 percent of the geniuses who post here say it’s all about the QB.

All organizational failures are the responsibility of the QB.

And no one else.

Seems you might be in the minority, uncle Ray.

Just because I might be in the minority doesn't mean I'm "Rong". - LOL

If you read most of those "Majority" posts, their inherent "foolishness" would tip you off to the fact that:
"Ray is Right" - again.

Actually, there are a few posters that may represent 50 per-cent of the posts, which means they are a "vocal" (or should I say "Postal") minority. - LOL

Agreed we need interior more, but if the BPA is an Edge, I might pull the trigger. The Interior is deep in talent this year in the draft. For me, the OL trumps everything. But if we are smart and lucky, we can make serious upgrades this off season with a few FA signings at reasonable prices and a solid draft.

The Chiefs o-line was the biggest problem. They couldn't block anybody. It reminded me of the Chiefs-Bucs Super Bowl where the Bucs dominated the line of scrimmage. It doesn't matter who your QB is because if you have a bad o-line the offense will not be able to function.
And weren’t they good all year? What happened that they got pummeled all game?

How bout that elephant in the room?

Actually I don't think they were that good all year. That is part of the reason their offense wasn't that great all season. I know they kept changing their LT.

I didn’t know that. So it wasn’t some fluke showing in the SB then.

I don’t think there is any one thing that specifically went wrong in the Fangio/Dolphins relationship.

Is Fangio a very, very good defensive coordinator when all the pieces are in place and things are running the way he likes? Yes.

Is it pretty damn apparent he wanted to be in Philly even while coaching in Miami? Yes.

Was he right about the lack of discipline and work ethic of some of the players on defense? Yes.

Does he seem to be a grumpy, rigid ***hole who alienates people and refuses to adjust when things aren’t working perfectly? Yes.

All of these things can be true. I’m glad that things worked out for him in Philly. There have been plenty of instances in which things didn’t work out with him, and it wasn’t just in Miami.
