Ok guys look at this. I looked at some stats, here's the qb that nyjunc is fine having for his team long term. Some stats are overrated but others are important and are an indicator of the qbs strengths and skills, which are very important for a qb and what franchise qbs, and not just great ones but good or very good qbs have. That is accuracy, which is so important in a qb. There are other assets as well. But this is a common thing I see from the great and good qbs in the league and what helps them carry their team or be able to throw and lead their team. Here's sanchez career numbers http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/12482/mark-sanchez
He has a 54.9 completion % for his career, that is bad for an nfl qb. And his qb rating for his career 73.2. Sure his WRs are dropping passes but even when he had holmes and Edwards he still was just mid 50% at most. Even with his wins, like against indy, he only had 82 yards passing. The past two seasons he's been asked to pass more and not just pass 25 times or less and they've lost more, from what I've seen, they have the best chance of winning when passes within the 25 attempts range, like a servicable qb does.
Even the good qbs do better than this. And for example Alex Smith who is just decent, but hey he took the niners all the way to the nfc championship game last season and they mightve won if it werent for big special teams turnovers. Even his career comp % is 59.1% http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/8416/alex-smith
just look at this between the franchise qbs and their comp % and qb ratings and attempts and some of the good ones and their numbers. they don't lie but here ya go.
