Yep, and I especially laugh at the corpse of a record that happened 40 years ago. Pretty sad that we're so mediocre as a franchise that a record 40 years ago is the only thing we can celebrate.
"Oh look, another ****ty season. It's OK, we went undefeated 43 years ago! Why even live in the present when you can live in the year 1972 over and over!"
Do you think The Miami Dolphins and their fans would stop celebrating a perfect season that happened over 40 years ago, if they were currently a winning franchise? Nope. Yes, it sucks that Miami has been mediocre or a losing team for 1.5 decades or more, but I don't see how that should diminish a perfect season, no matter how old it is, since that record is still being held by only one team. this team. Like it or not, no matter how much success or lack of success this team has, fans will always celebrate this accomplishment. hell, even if another team is able to pull off another perfect season, Miami fans will still celebrate that they were the first. Nothing to be ashamed of, no matter what the team is doing currently.
Also, I don't know why, if fans of this team celebrate a record that happened 40 years ago, means they think it's ok that we suck now. How do you even come up with that? Doesn't even make sense.
