Convince me I should be a Dolphin fan...

I think this thread got off on the wrong foot.

Maybe we should start over knowing the circumstances. I'd love to have anyone join the Fins family.

The more, the merrier. Besides, if you join now, when we win the Super Bowl in a few years, no one will be able to call you a bandwagon fan. ;)

Well I wont speak for you, but 33 years ago when I was a wee little kid, I started watching the NFL with my dad.......I was 6 years old and I just fell in love with the Dolphins aqua green colors.....they won the SB back to back around this time and I was living on a military base in Italy so we usually got to see the games a week late. They also showed the game highlights before the movies at the base theater....I had to listen to the Superbowls as it was not on live tv in Italy but they have been my team since then...been with them all these years and they are my fave team in all sports....you have to find a team for yourself and convince yourself that is your team....remember, the word fan comes from FANATIC.....only you can find which team you love and support.

That's funny because that was why I became a fan when I was 4 years old!!

All Marino for me.. I hate nothing more than Bandwagon fans. Dolphins, Redsox, Bucks, Thrashers, and Uconn strong here.

Every fan has to start somewhere. If she wants to start with the Fins I say she couldn't have made a better choice.

Hey bro check the screen names on the family web site ff teams.
I am pretty sure that the starter of this thread is our lovely sister in law.

For those of you that welcomed her thank you very much, she's a great person. Those of you that gave her a bad time I don't care what you think.
Whoever called her a band wagon jumper I know how you feel there has been a lot of them since that 4-12 season :rofl3: :rofl3:

Well when I was 4, Marino was like 6 maybe 7. Otherwise that would have been my reason too

Holy crap people!!!
I just found out this is my sister in law!!! I can vouch for a couple of things here:

1. She did marry into a family of crazy rabid Dolphin fans.
2. She is just really starting to get into football so this is not changing loyalties.
3. She is an awesome person, and we need more fans like her.
4. She is also one of the most highly regarded equestrian trainers in the country.

So treat her with some dignity and respect because she deserves it. She is a class lady. Now lets give her a worthy Finheaven welcome!

Started watching the fins in the early 70's they were pretty easy to like. BUT i never ever thought of rooting for anybody else. I lived about 50 miles from stinking a$$ rich stadium so jills fans made it fun

Well I was one of the few who gave her an honest answer and not crap so let me be the 1st to welcome her to the Dolphin family! (there's a few here who need kicked out of the family or waived from the family to make room for free agents)

Obviously I'm leaning towards the Dolphins and married into a heavy duty Dolphin family, some of those members naming their children after Dolphin players. Really enjoying playing Fantasy football the last few years and to tell you the truth Minnesota was my team mainly because I had alot of their roster on my team and it was fun to root for another team against this FANATICAL family! After the Vikings offensive coordinator and wide receivers coaches left for Miami I thought maybe I should do the same. So tell me why the Dolphins are the only team anyone should follow!!!
DONT. You either are, or your not.
