Convince me I should be a Dolphin fan...

Obviously I'm leaning towards the Dolphins and married into a heavy duty Dolphin family, some of those members naming their children after Dolphin players. Really enjoying playing Fantasy football the last few years and to tell you the truth Minnesota was my team mainly because I had alot of their roster on my team and it was fun to root for another team against this FANATICAL family! After the Vikings offensive coordinator and wide receivers coaches left for Miami I thought maybe I should do the same. So tell me why the Dolphins are the only team anyone should follow!!!

I couldn't tell you. I didn't have a choice.

Ignore these guys, you don't have to be born a fan to be a fan.

As a kid, I got hooked on watching Marino light it up against the Jets. I followed Miami for Marino, because I love an offense that aired it out (I loved Spurrier's Gators for the same reason). Frankly in the last few years the Dolphins haven't been as much fun for me to watch. The Johnson/Wanny philosophy emphasized throttling Marino, running inside and relying upon a strong defense.
But now we got Saban and a new offensive scheme that should start throwing the ball again. We're still a couple years away since we're still looking for the right quarterback but we should be a fun team to watch again. Solid core of athletic receivers, two extremely talented backs (Brown can beat you a number of ways) and a defense that blitzes alot. Like I said, still a couple years off but it's always fun to root for the underdog.
Plus we inspire fear in our opponents hearts with a name like the Dolphins, a few years ago they even put a little angry frown on our logo. You can't beat that!

Are you trying to tell us something?

Yes-I'm trying to tell you that Lance Armstrong beat among other things testicular cancer and perhaps that is why Devil was getting flamed for his Lance in the pants picture, which of course has nothing to do with this thread, which of course is a poor substitute for watching our Fins play

Why would you need to be convinced to be a fan of a team? Do you need help selecting your favorite type of beer or your spouse? No you try them all and you find 1 and when you like 1 you stick with it.

follow who you like. If you have to be sold on a team's worthiness to have you as a fan then by definition you are NOT a fan.

If you decide you love the Phins for your OWN reasons, then welcome to family. If you have to use someone else's reasons, then tell me who they are and I'll welcome THEM to the family.
