Convince me I should be a Dolphin fan...

Obviously I'm leaning towards the Dolphins and married into a heavy duty Dolphin family, some of those members naming their children after Dolphin players. Really enjoying playing Fantasy football the last few years and to tell you the truth Minnesota was my team mainly because I had alot of their roster on my team and it was fun to root for another team against this FANATICAL family! After the Vikings offensive coordinator and wide receivers coaches left for Miami I thought maybe I should do the same. So tell me why the Dolphins are the only team anyone should follow!!!:confused: :confused: :confused:

You don't need to be convinced. You need to stop trolling. The FINS RULE. Learn to live with it.

People do become fans...all aren't born with the gene. I became a fan at 4 years old and my love and passion converted my dad into a fan over the years! So there!:rofl3: :D

That's absolutely true.

My mom grew up right across the canal where the stadium is now. She graduated the year they went undefeated. And she could care less about football. Her whole family were immigrants.

Then she met my dad and things changed. Now my mom's as big a Dolphins fan as anyone here. When she took me to my first Phins game at Joe Robbie, she spent half the time fighting with these subhuman Jet fans behind us!! Heck, my mom will watch an NFL game even if the Dolphins aren't playing simply because it's football.

See there?? People can start late. Especially women. My future wife will assimilate as well. Or she will be one annoyed, unhappy woman on Sunday's.

well, living in tampa, you probably might want to be a bucs fan. since you will have more opp to watch their games, go to tailgating eveents, etc.

I must say that I'm quite disappointed in some of the responses in this thread. Many were quite rude.

The whole "you're either a fan or you're not" thing is such crap. Have you ever discovered something later in life that you absolutey love now, but weren't sure about when you found it?? For me, it was working with computers. I was relativley old when I got my first PC (20). And aside from surfing the net, I didn't know much about them. I was considering getting into the networking field and going to school, but wasn't sure of it. So I asked everyone I could about it. Now it's what I do for a living.

Anyway, this isn't quite as serious (more of a fun question than anything). But the general idea remains the same.

For me, growing up...... Don Shula, Dan Marino, and the ol' aqua and coral made it hard not to love the phins.... and i grew up in NJ. My pops has been a die-hard since I was born. The the phins are just in my blood.

no doubt... we have one of the largest fanbases in general. And most likely the largest non- local fanbase. Theres only a few teams that people root for all around the world and the phins are one of them. In my home state you got the Jets, Giants, Eagles, Steelers, then the only other majoritys are Miami and Dallas fans. I've manipulated a handful of people into become finfans...

Someone is willing to become a fan after a 4-12 season(in my world that is an important fact) and we collectivly bash her. Good job boys, ya make me proud... errr maybe not.

Gee, I am actually seeing a different side of our fan base. I must say it is pretty ugly.
