Anybody think there is a chance one of these Corner backs could fall to us in the second i see Corner back as one of our biggest needs.I would be ecstatic if we could pick up one of these guys in the second.A lot of mock draft have them going in the second.

Marcus McCauley

No.. the only one I see falling is McCauley who is not very good IMO.

McCauley is probably the best press cover CB coming out of college football. He has very nice closing speed. Ran a 4.31 at an NFL Pro day workout in 2005. Very good tackler. His knock is that he seems to have plenty of trouble in zone coverage. Did not have many interceptions because teams simply did not throw his way. I would LOVE to have McCauley on Miami, but I do not know how he would work here because I think (If I'm not mistaken) Miami runs more zone than man. I see him going in the 2nd round.

He's really not.. He was running with the third team through half of the season because he was playing awful...

EDIT: Inconsistent, and makes dumb decisions - and his ball skills were not developed... 40 speed and closing speed are two different things..

I never said they were the same. Hell, I did not even imply it.

I did not see much of him, but I have heard that he does have poor decision-making ability when playing. Tries too hard, etc. Could you hook us up with a little more about him? I'm at Ole Miss, so I know SEC guys more than anything. That's why I'm such a huge Patrick Willis supporter. :cooldude:

I wouldn't mind hughes in the second. The guy is a real playmaker despite his lack of tangibles (size, speed... whatever).

Saban was too preoccupied with drafting physical specimens as opposed to true football players. I would take a guy with heart and instincts over a physical freak any day.

I don't really want mcCauley or ross unless they slips into the third or even fourth (not likely, but that's ok with me).

I think chris houston might be around for our pick in the second and I think he would be a great pick-up for us. I would take houston over any cb in this draft other than revis right now.

I think we could see some of them slide. I wouldn't be shocked to see Leon Hall slide as well. I think after the combine Revis and Houston will be the top CBs.

If we sign Samuels or Clement - pass. Use the 2nd round pick for a WR or OL. Which ever is not taken in the first round.

Hughes or Ross would be good. McCauley really isn't good. Bennett in the 3rd would be good too.

I want to throw in another name, Revis from Pitt. Was he not originally included because you believe he will be gone, or not high enough caliber. I believe he is around the talent of any of the other guys mentioned, plus he has return skills. No knock on Welker, because he brings 100% every week, but the fins could upgrade the return game some by removing some of these duites to Welker, especially if he continues to play so many snaps in the offense because 3rd WR, KR, and PR duties may be too much for him.

Revis has a very good chance to be the #1 CB off the board, 1st round talent for sure.

So I assume that Revis wasn't included because most believe he will be gone. Can't argue with that, as I agree. However, IF he is available, I think we must consider him.
