Finnegan was a pro bowler on the outside in Tennessee. Didn't start playing the slot until the last two plus years where he spent 64% of his snaps at.
 
I don't care what he says.. I care about his on the field production and if he helps the team or not.. That being said I really never liked the guys personality and probably never will....
 
Always hated him when on opposing teams because of his "intensity" against your team. Will be nice to have that ON our team. The key though, regardless of all the "other" stuff he brings and how we feel about that, is CAN HE PLAY! There are a lot of talkers, nasty guys vs. quiet guys, but in the end can they make the plays they need to ? That's all I will care about in the end with Finn and if he can do that, I could care less about all the other stuff!

If Ward only did that in his career, I wouldn't be calling him a dirty player. If he didn't actively try to jam his helmet underneath their facemasks in order to hurt them, I wouldn't be calling him a dirty player. Ward led with his helmet quite a bit and caused multiple injuries in his career, yet he did nothing to alter that type of play. Anyway, back to the topic of Cortland Finnegan. We signed a chippy (if you don't want to call him dirty) player that can't actually play. The signing sucks no matter how you look at it.
 
Gotta love his attitude.. my type of player with heart and a mean streak..

Oh wait. He took a cheap shot on Josh Morgan in that play too. It's what his game is predicated around. Taking cheap shots.

I love all these no thanks for sharing my perfectly valid opinion of a player that's recognized around the league as dirty. The "No Thanks" isn't a disagree button.

relax dude.. I rather have him over Will Davis starting for me. We need someone with a fire under their ass because God knows, this team plays like they should be wearing pink at times.

Why? Finnegan has been absolutely abysmal for years. He can't play, and he can't act like a decent human being. What is the point of having him on this team? People aren't going to listen to him and respect him just because he's on the team. He's still a punk, and he's still a crap football player.

Too be fair, and I for one really questioned the move as well, if those are the three worst things we can find about him I actually feel a little better. Especially after watching that mic'd up.

The first video was hardly a punch. In real time it looked like nothing and slowed down it was more of a forearm to the chest really. The second video wasnt even a foul, and the third one he got at the time one of the best WRs in the game out of the game.

The thing is there are plenty of GOOD players in the NFL that have 0 plays like that. There are plenty of GOOD players that don't aspire to be the dirtiest player in the game. There are plenty of GOOD players that don't have the reputation that he's earned.
