That's a great story and i'm glad his wifey is ok but i'd take Patterson over him from what i've seen.

Courtland Finnegan was ranked 109 out of 110 CB's in football last year according to PFF per Adam Beasley.

Not really sure why this got a thumbs down. Cortand Finnegan is consistently voted as one of the dirtiest players in the league.
It wasnt too long ago this guy was considered one of the top 5 CBs in the league when he was in his prime with the Titans.
He had a horrible season last year, but apparently he was injured. He is certainly a risk which is why his price may be low. However, if this guy returns to form, he could be a real HR.
Wasnt he one of the top FA's when St. Louis originally signed him? I would be willing to take a chance on him, but I would also want to sign another CB and not go all in with him.
I wouldnt mind signing him and Patterson. If Finnegan returns to form and Patterson stays healthy, we would have a killer group of CBs with Taylor as the 4th guy. Then if Taylor steps up and develops into a guy we can start, it gives us great options in 2015.

Ummmmm no....
he got one of the best receivers off his game and so frustrated he did that and ultimately took him out of the game completely. Thats a highlight for him IMO.

I would much rather sign Walter Thurmond III. Someone with more upside and that can come in and compete for the #2 CB spot. Even DRC would be a better option at this point. I just dont feel comfortable handing the job to Jamar Taylor (who couldnt even compete for the nickel position last year). And bringing in a washed up veteran CB coming off a bad year isnt exactly what Jamar Taylor needs. If Finnegan is signed and beats out Taylor, what will that say for our #2 CB spot?
