I'm still looking for the options

C: NO MORE 2nd Stringers, cast offs, or CUT players from other teams
D: None of the above

:yeahthat:

heck....Couch or McPherson?....I'd take both :) Trade off Feeley and Sage. Go into the season with Frerrote, Couch, and McPherson with Berlin on the practice squad. If we're going to revamp this thing...Revamp the whole thing!

I also wouldn't be upset with a Feeley (instead of Gus) with Couch and McPherson. With this group of guys we'll have tons of potiential for one of them to turn into something beyond a "guy who won't win us games but won't loose any either" to guys who all have the potnetial to become something more than that. Of course they all have the potential to suck also.

Basically though we all know (or should understand anyway) that we, the Dolphins, are not going to challenge for the SB this season or possibly even next year. For me personally, I would be all for suffering though another losing season (although not like last season with the players and front office simply not having ANY direction) as long as a long term plan is implemented and stuck with...which is now appears to be happening.

Unfortunately, in my heart I feel like we are an 8 win team this year when you take into consideration how good our division really is. On the fortunate (or unfortunate depending on your perspective) side, I don't feel that their is a huge difference between Gus and AJ....as far as what the final overall team record will be. Our offense will be better than last season's (hard to be to much worse) regardless of who starts between Gus and AJ, but for at least one more year our defense will carry us once again. Having a running game again will be what doubles our win total from last year. If we're lucky it'll do more than that...maybe.

Anyway, I'd bring in both if Couch's price isn't high and Mcpherson gets cut. Under NO means do I want to bring in ANY develpemental QB that will cost us another draft pick. If we can't get them from waivers or with a combination of player(s) currently on the team I don't want to spend a pick that way..we've already spent our 5th next year on Wright.

BTW, I see where somebody mentions Rohan Davey.....I wouldn't give up anything for him. Well, I take that back. I'd give up Taylor Whitley for him. Davey will likely be cut anyway with Flutie being their #2 and the USC backup as their 3d string. I believe Saban can wait if he truly wants Davey. Besides Davey is a FA after the season anyway. He could get him then if he still wants him. Davey's not going to make that much difference this season for our team.

id switch mcpherson and davey and put volek on top

on top..I think I'd put Kitna. I like Volek but something tells me that Volek is going to be seeking a good chunk of change (deservedly or not..it's debatable) just as soon as good little Mr. Bobby gets the chance. As for Davey...see my post above.

I read an article (sorry no link) where Volek was talking about deserving to start right now....over McNair. Now, while Volek showed he's got some skills, starting Volek over McNair would be like the Phins starting Scott Mitchell over a healthy Dan Marino in Dan's last season. Once a player becomes an ICON, you ride it out with that guy until he retires.... never with the ICON still on the team, even if his skills are declining.

Please leave Couch alone for your own sakes...Rohan Davey is the key, or trade for Todd Bouman from the Saints.

All this Tim Couch support is a joke IMO. I live in Wisconsin and went to the Packers scirmage last year, and seen him in the pre-season...he simply lost it, he has no confidence, he continuesly over throws or under throws easy passes.

At least with Adrian we have some upside in him. I say we go for him.
