While impressive that Rodgers threw as good as he did under those conditions, it just shows that other ways to win are needed in bad weather games.
Blah blah blah.Yes, that is why they have the phrase "no comment" or just say "no I didn't get the vaccine". As I stated, it worked fine for Cousins and Wentz. Face it, he took the cowards way out, got caught in a lie, and has been on a media blitz ever since explaining himself. Yes, the same media he doesn't have to answer to, but conveniently uses when he got caught.
Plus, let's not act like we are in normal times. 850,000+ dead is horrible. The NFL set rules as a private company to protect its employees and protect itself legally. Those rules didn't include having to get the vaccine, but yes, you do need to tell the league your status. If you don't want to follow the rules, don't play. Put your money where your mouth is and take a stand.
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- There's one thing that will make Aaron Rodgers' decision about whether to return to the Green Bay Packers next season much easier.
"I don't want to be part of a rebuild if I'm going to keep playing," Rodgers said.
Absent that, the 38-year-old quarterback believes he has a difficult decision to make about his football future.
He just didn't think he would have to start contemplating it so soon. But when the San Francisco 49ers upset the top-seeded Packers in the NFC divisional playoff round Saturday, it meant the hourglass flipped for Rodgers, who took his share of the blame for the offensive ineptitude in the 13-10 loss at Lambeau Field.
"I'm still supercompetitive, still know I can play at a high level, so it's going to be a tough decision," Rodgers said during a 17-minute session with reporters after the game. "I have a lot of things to weigh in the coming weeks. But man, just so much gratitude for this city and this organization and such a long, long career here that I'm proud of and really thankful for all the men and women that work here, the men I've gotten to cross paths with, coaches and players over the years."
He didn’t lie…it’s pure science that natural immunity is the superior defense…..I don't know. Does lying make one a Florida guy as well? I couldn't care less what his decision is regarding the vaccine is, but stand behind it. Kirk Cousins and Carson Wentz also chose not to get the shot, which is their choice. However, when asked about it, they didn't lie.
More importantly, does this duplicity follow Rodgers onto the field as well? It is a team game. How do his teammates feel about his persona as a self-righteous, selfish guy? Is he a team guy behind the scenes?
The question was "Have you been vaccinated? Answer: Yes, I've been immunized." Come on, don't go play the semantics game. It was deceptive and a lie. The correct answer is "No comment" or "I've not been vaccinated, but I have attempted to gain natural immunity".He didn’t lie…it’s pure science that natural immunity is the superior defense…..

He knows it's wrong. You know it's wrong. And it doesn't matter whether you think vaccines are b.s. or not. It is truth vs. lie.
He was asked in August 2021 BEFORE he had the virus if he had been vaccinated. He didn't catch Covid until late October, early November. No…it’s not attempting when you’ve naturally fought off the virius…I strongly disagree with you !

I'm glad you have no problem with his stance. I have no problem with his stance about not wanting to get vaccinated either. My point was he LIED. There are other players who agree with him and you that it is an experimental and controversial shot, but they didn't lie about it.He was referring to natural protocols that many are using to protect themselves versus an experimental controversial shot…I have no problem with his stance!
Thanks for your well thought-out and insightful postRodgers will be a 49er next year.
He was 69% passing with a 92 QBR in awful conditions. He didn’t lose the game. Specials teams did.How about this hot take: Aaron Rodgers is a loser who turns in dud after dud in the post season. 1-4 in title games and they were the favorite and at home for most of them. You guys want that heartbreak? Getting to playoffs and losing when you are supposed to win? I guess having him would make the regular season more fun but screw him. Maybe he can go play for State Farm.
Not to west coast people, I’ll take working outside in 105 California weather any day over 95 Florida weather. He went to Green Bay as a West Coast guy...
A new coach and FO...and Florida weather isn't much different from California weather.
