Could we end up with nothing?

If we don't end up with Manning or Flynn, I would prefer Weeden over Tannehill. I think Weeden is going to have a great future in the NFL. His age should not be a factor if he is drafted by a team that is ready to start him.

These next few weeks will show us and the world how the Miami Dolphins will be for the next 10 years... simply put.. if we strike out this spring, we're screwed and will still be the laughing stock of the league... however if we can get on base.. or hit a home run... then we truly should have hopes of being a dynasty again..

If it were me in charge, I would have set my sights on securing the #1 or #2 pick this year.. Three 1st rounds and a 2nd is not a bad deal for a struggling team to give up this year.. If I was able to secure the #2 pick, then I would have negotiated with Indy (either on or off the record) to see if I could swing a deal to secure Luck.. if not, RGIII would be my back up plan.. Then I would have offered Manning and Wayne a contract like 2 days ago.. This would have gotten us the QB we need today and would allow us the chance to groom the QB of tomorrow..

The way things are going I'd say trade down for picks, add starters and stockpile talent, then work to get in position next year for one of maybe 3 big time QB talents. You'll have Barkley, L Jones, and Logan Thomas coming out.

in the end if none of the targeted QBs are available we do still have Matt Moore.
Matt proved he can win games....6-3 to finish the season.
With a full training camp as presumed starter he can only get better.
I'm trying to be a glass is half-full kind of guy!

I hate how people ignore the first three games. he was 6-6 . He has had full training camps before but yes he can get better . I personally think what we saw last year was the best Moore can be, which is not awful for sure.

We'll get a QB. Whether it's the QB we all wanted or not....yet to be seen. An ideal situation in my mind is to get Manning and then draft Nick Foles. Manning is the guy for two years, and then Foles can go all Aaron Rodgersy on the league. I dont really get the hype around Tannehill, and he's not worth the 8th pick even if he is there.

I still don't understand how Arizona is going to fit Peyton under the cap with their 3.1 million available...?

Well levi brown is scheduled to make 16 mill against cap so cutting just him makes thier cap about what ours is

That puts them where we are before restructuring deals or releasing players. Plus they still have to sign Calais Campbell and by dropping Levi Brown they will be WITHOUT Levi Brown...

according to sun sentinal the Cards have about 3 million less than we have right now.

We have 13 million they have 10 million.
Denver has 48 million, KC 50 million and Seattle 31 million.
That would leave us and Arizona at a big disadvantage in the bidding department.
The Cards could save a decent amount of cap by cutting Kolb who is due a 7 million dollar bonus next week.
kolb's contract is not very crippling with only 12 million guaranteed. IF we go after Flynn if we fail on Peyton the kolb contract setup would be a smart choice.
6 years 65 million sounds like a horrible contract but the way they structured it is smart. Cutting Kolb and Brown saves them like 23 million on the cap.

They have 118 million against the cap of 122

Nevermind Calais Campbell was tagged which means he is guaranteed 10.6 against the cap this year...?

I'm not sure if this is included in the 118 million or if they will have to deal with the additional 10.6 in some other way.

Plus 7 million carried over from last year we are at 117 million against the cap with 9 million carried over . Any dispute with those numbers

losing out on RGIII DEFINITELY makes Cleveland very aggressive after Flynn. Who wee really don't want anyway! So if we fail to land Manning, it its Moore and possibly a second tier QB in the draft.

Thats how its looking imo
