Crazy idea to fix the Running Back situation......

Dude did you eat paint chips when you were a kid??? Seriously "due process"??? There are no files charged legally. He almost took her head off and there's a "VIDEO" for all the world to see. Dues process my ass, we all saw it and he gets no due process in the NFL as far as I'm concerned. I support nothing about this walking pile of puss. You need to put this perspective dude. The best was when you said "lynch mob" good one buddy. Was he on your fantasy team??? Figures. Good god.
I said "rabid internet-mob lynching". And your post is a pure gold example - thanks for proving my point.

And btw, let him just shut the hell up and take his lumps, he will have a second chance like everyone else. This is a very forgiving country
?? Well, that sounds like a change of tune. At any rate, I do believe that's exactly what he's doing...

The only you proved is that I don't get on my knees for athletes like you do

Taking his lumps, really? I think he's appealing

And just to show you I don't totally disagree, if there was no video or eye witness and it was only here say on her side, then I'm ok with your due process. Video, is very strong, no one gets a pass on that

Well, the video proves he hit her. It also proves they were arguing and she came at him and he retaliated. How that translates into an indefinite suspension for a first-time offender is the question. From what I've seen, the process of assigning a penalty seems to be very subjective - as in it is subject to the whims of public opinion (as expressed on the internet) and the commissioner. I would call that an ad hoc process, not due process.

The NFLPA is appealing the suspension, not Ray Rice.

I'd give Ray Rice a chance. He'd definitely fix the RB situation.

And those people judging him, smh. I'm going w. Janay on this one -- if people really cared about HER and not making a political point, they'd help Ray work and rehabilitate.

Instead, it's all about their preconceived political agenda.

Violence against women, really? Is that what it is? Then why do 99 percent of the people hating on Ray Rice also support Islam? Where not just slapping, but honor killing and raping for "point proving" is in vogue.

Please. It's all politics.

Free Ray Rice. Listen to Janay.

LD
Call me a 1%er then. I do not in any way support islam and never will.

Yeah, it's just so strange to me. If Ray Rice gets into an argument with his friend in an elevator and hits him and knocks him out, he gets two games max. But he hits his fiancee and it's indefinite. This is really not about law and justice any more, it's about cultural mores.

Dude, I agree the way The commish has handled these suspensions have been pretty subjective on his part. But really, that girl was coming towards him, she didn't have a knife and she wasn't swinging, Rice Tyson'd her, it was vicious, could have killed her, right now I'm ok with an indefinite. Indefinite in football means he's gonna sit for a year and he spends a year apologizing to womens groups, shelters etc and not because he feels remorse but because like Michael Vick, he has to play the role like he's a changed man so he can bullchit everyone and then America will be in a very forgiving mood because America is also full of chit with their forgiveness. The whole country is full of chit

And the teams of these players are full of it too. They only deactivate the players because their sponsors start pulling out. When they start losing The Money, then all of a sudden they find their moral compass. And let's not forget the sponsors because they're full of it too because they'll be back quicker than a bum on a cheese sandwich

No, but the damage that a common woman can do (with her fists) is no where near the damage that a common man can do with his.

I in no way approve of anyone committing any acts of violence towards anyone NO MATTER THE SEXUAL ORIENTATION....

Every person has the God given right to defend themselves if and when needed.

You'd go running like a little girl. That point aside, and since you whiffed on my earlier point, it was in response to your absolute. And I quote:

As for Solange and Jay-Z.... lotta info coming out lately saying it was staged publicity. Now that could just be PR spin, or truth... whichever it is, shouldn't matter. She assaulted someone, and she should be held accountable. That goes for everyone.

I agree, numbers say that women that abuse a male get away with it for many reasons. Men are taught not to hit women, a man might want to avoid embarrassment, the male may not be believed, or just out of pure fear. Doesn't make it right and women need to understand that if they go and assault or physically hurt someone, they shouldn't cry foul when they get hurt in turn.

But the point here is simple... Jay Z, when attacked, chose NOT to respond in kind, like A MAN should do. Ray Rice, when attacked, chose to respond with more much more force than he received. Keep in mind Ray Rice's profession....

As for your knife argument.... Did Ray's fiance/wife come at him with a knife? Did Solange come at Jay Z with a knife?? So why even bring it up??

And of course, if I were ever attacked with a knife of course I'd defend myself accordingly. That's my God given right remember???

I can come up with irrelevant analogies that aren't related to the topic at hand too, but I won't.
No body used knives, so let's keep it in the same vicinity my friend.

We aren't talking absolutes, we're talking about the Ray Rice situation/video. And the Jay Z video (because you brought it up.)

My right to voice my opinion isn't cheap either... Talk is cheap applies to when I talk about something and won't back it up with my actions.
Bring a knife to me and see how cheap my talk is. Stay on topic smarty pants.

You'd run away like a little girl. That aside, and since you missed the point, here it is again:

Your absolute: "REAL MEN DON'T HIT WOMEN. SIMPLE AS THAT."

My point: don't make absolutes like that because if you had to save your life by hitting ANYONE who had your life in danger with a knife, gun, whatever, you would. If you had to and there was no escape your survival instinct would kick in and you'd hit anyone, male or female, to save your skin. That was the point Sherlock, not Solange Knowles. Put another way, stop with the bull**** dumbass macho absolutes, they make you look like a fool.

That was hyperbole. To illustrate the point that REAL VIOLENCE against women is occurring at a horrific rate -- both in the religious hate crimes sanctioned by Sharia law (and excused by the American justice system b.c is is Sharia -- and covered over to the tune of 1,400 teen and pre-teen white girls being raped by Islamic men in Rotherham, England, etc. ad naseum) and also the trillion-dollar industry of sex trafficking teen and preteen girls here in America, w. Florida leading the nation. REAL VIOLENCE against women is occurring with the radical complicity of the same media that witch-hunts Ray Rice.

That's my point.

It's horrific and beyond belief. The police and politicians knew what was going on in Rotherham and covered it up b.c. it wasn't politically correct to prosecute Muslims for their perverted forms of ethnic cleansing. They would have lost their jobs, so they helped the monsters do their thing. And worse, it's happening around the supposedly developed world while we speak.

Makes me furious to see the media pretending to care about women when it's Ray and Janay Rice, but being complicit about the infinitely greater crimes happening RIGHT NOW.

  Funny a turrible RB idea thread turned into a pissing match about Ray Rice and his antics.

Did you consult NYjunc before posting this one? Way to spin it in a feeble attempt to detract from the actual topic of conversation.

"Over here, over here! Look REAL VIOLENCE over here!". Start another thread in the political forum if you wish, but don't pretend as though your ignorant views on this subject are not something to be ridiculed and mocked by being distastefully weak.

All the meanwhile you continue to downplay the NFL domestic violence issue in a backhand manner. If you truly cared about the issues you stated you would also display a certain amount of decency for the injustices of domestic violence being discussed. Instead you're to busy trying to hide your character deficiencies, in what I can only hope is some amount of shame you feel. Try again.

You really are a sanctimonious bore.
