Well, the video proves he hit her. It also proves they were arguing and she came at him and he retaliated. How that translates into an indefinite suspension for a first-time offender is the question. From what I've seen, the process of assigning a penalty seems to be very subjective - as in it is subject to the whims of public opinion (as expressed on the internet) and the commissioner. I would call that an ad hoc process, not due process.

The NFLPA is appealing the suspension, not Ray Rice.

Dude, I agree the way The commish has handled these suspensions have been pretty subjective on his part. But really, that girl was coming towards him, she didn't have a knife and she wasn't swinging, Rice Tyson'd her, it was vicious, could have killed her, right now I'm ok with an indefinite.
