Crosby has something to play for.

You always go after good talent no matter how deep you think you are. All it takes is a few injuries to settle how deep you really are.

oh master yoda you dissapoint me, master windo holds you in high esteem.

if that is so why doesn't the media talk about our recieving corp ? cbs and fox sports stated that we will go 2 -14 this year because our receivers are too slow. i remember where it was at but thats what the networks think about us.

i somewhat think our corp is average but we shall see. I hope we prove them wrong.

by the way master yoda you do know that anakin knocked up padmae if that is the name. i sense some hany panky somewhere.

First of all you can't go 2-14 just because of slow receivers.
Do you believe everything that's said by "experts" ? The same guys who predicted the Chargers to suck last season and the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl? Honestly, they know as much as you and I do. The networks' opinions is completely worthless.

Why don't your type in the default font size, color, etc. like the rest of us? It's these kinds of posts that make no sense. Do you think that just because your post is so LARGE AND COLORFUL that it holds more meaning? Or maybe its just that your post lacks any type of football knowledge so you have to implement some type of attention grabber so no one really finds out that it has no substance.

I think we are set at WR. We have Chambers, who everyone knows is underrated, Booker who i think had an average season as a WR last year, and Boston who has lost weight and we haven't heard any news from. Sometimes no news is great news. Now that we have two good RB's the defense will not always be playing the pass and it will open up for us.

Huh? Derrius Thompson is the guy they will depend on to step in. You have to be reasonable when it comes to how many recievers you keep and to think that Roscoe Crosby is going to come in thru the supplemental draft and have any immediate impact this season is crazy. As it stands Saban and Co. have faith in Chambers, Booker, Boston, Thompson, and Gilmore........with Welker possibly getting in a few snaps. I'm fine with that combination.

Thompson blows. You can't be comfortable with him at #3. He's made ONE good catch in his whole career.

That's absolute nonsense. Just like everyone else is saying, if we were to go 2-14 this season, it WILL NOT be because our recievers don't all run 4.3's ........... but hold the phone.........Chambers is a 4.3 guy........David Boston is a 4.3-4.4 guy......... Gilmore is the fastest reciever on the team and he's a 4.3 guy.........

I certainly have not read the same things you've been reading from these so-called "networks." I've read good things about our recieving core because there is so much potential there it's disgusting, they just need an o-line to protect a QB who can get them the d*mn ball.

So instead Roscoe Crosby is going to step in and create havoc? Be reasonable. It's funny how you give Thompson no leaway, but you'll sure jump to the defense of a guy like Chambers because his "QB's have sucked" or "Wanny has prevented him from success" .........that's hypocritical. DT's got more potential to have an impact this year than friggin' Roscoe Crosby........get real........

This year, we are set at WR... BUT... Lets think about the future...

Chambers - Locked up... aint goin nowhere
Booker - I believe he is under contract for a couple of years

Then who? :hmmm:
Boston - On a 1 year contract with major injury issues
D. Thompson - Contract is wayyy too much to be here next year
Gilmore - He isnt going to ever be a starting caliber WR

That leaves us wit our starters in place... but #3 and #4 may not even be on this team next year... IF and only IF this kid has got some serious potential (Dont know too much about him, but sounds like he has the physical tools) we should think about using a 7th rounder on him... I mean really, its not like a 7th rounder is worth anything anyway. You dont find probowlers in the 7th unless you just get rediculously lucky... he would be worth spending a 7th on because all 7th round picks are "projects" anyway...

Nasty

depending on how we dothis season we could always draft a WR next season and also, Gilmore would be a very good 3rd WR and mayb someday a #2 if were desperate, i wouldnt be mad at all wiht him at #3

That is still a better duo than 75% of the teams out there, if not more. Boston is just the icing on the cake in my eyes.

Could not have said it better myself. To much talent never hurt any team from winning, its a lack of it that hurts. We're a team in transition. I'll say it here first don't be surprised if our offense carries this team this year. How far, probably not far at all, but it could be our strong suit. Sad as it may sound. We have a lot of what if's on defense. From Jason Taylor playing LB in the 3/4 to are DT's weak at the point in the run game to a unsettled secondary. Our most consistent side may very well be what ironically crippled us last year. With Ricky and Ronnie we'll easily be able to control TOP, if our line comes together as speculation has it. I personally think talented WR's who stretch short plays into long plays should have a place on any team. Look at New England David Terrell, Tim Dwight, bringing back Troy Brown, Signing Chad Brown, Three starting caliber TE's, the team isn't afraid to duplicate talent and thats where Miami and alot of other teams fall short. New England and Philly do have the luxury of few needs, needing to be address during the offseason, but you have to start somewhere. We already have two great backs. I just hope it doesn't stop there.

hey dolphin 99 i did that so political correctness clowns would have something to ***** about . Besides you do know that people do misread things and sometimes people dont always get their information from the same page . if your angry with me fine; but i read three different links and all three were saying different things. i was even complimented on the te corp and wr today which was a first.
so 99 if your pissed off i am so sorry that i dont share your sentiments about our recivers and that doesnt make me right or wrong its just my opinion.

I am a Clemson grad and watched this guy play a little. I think he has HUGE upside and despite our receiving corp would be worth a pick (especially a 6th). Like some others have mentioned, we don't have any guarantees with Boston or even Chambers from getting injured. Besides that, by next year Crosby would be well on his way if he stayed on the practice squad a year.

Carolina was the only team that attended his workout Tuesday.
