Last years first five games for Tannehill 75 94 94 80 62
This year first five games for Cutler 101 70 70 52 76
Tannehill's performance from one game to the next is more compact, he's more consistent because he has a systematic approach to the game. Jay Cutler is all over the place, this makes it harder for the offense to be in sync, especially when it comes to timing concepts...
I know its just a 5 games sample... But if you graph their career numbers, its rather obvious that Tannehill has alot less variance to his game than Cutler, which is desirable for an offense as a whole, provided that the mean is good obviously...
I mean in those five games Ryan had a range of 62-94 and Jay had a range of 101-52. Ya that's less consistent, but I don't see that personally as being a big deal. And like you said, we're talking very small samples.
I'd be interested to see that career graph you speak of, but that sounds like a lot of work lol.
