I’m worried about the game today…playing Sorrycuse @ Sorrycuse is never an easy feat.
I was wondering where this guy was but looks like he's banned lol. Story checks out.Brilliant analysis
As a Canes fan and college football fan in general, I really hate the NIL system. Wasted money and time on a mercenary who never won chit and will continue to never win chit. Wish we could go back to the days of actually developing QBs/players.

Yeah the whole thing is just ridiculous. Tough to feel much connection with the players since most of em are in and out. Do we have any idea who next year's QB is? Or is he getting ready for a bowl game with his current team right now? And then you add all the realignment stuff and it's a total clown show. It’s why I lost interest in it, and that’s saying something. Saban lost interest too.
Putting in the time and work to recruit and develop players, along with getting to know their families inside their own homes - only to have NIL buy them away from you is not college football. It’s something else.
Nevermind academics and graduation rates. You have to re-recruit your own players all over again every year.
They killed the golden goose with politics. Just like everything else. The players think they are benefiting from the chaos...because somebody told them a scholarship wasn’t enough. Most will not.

I'm all for players getting paid but there has to be a better way.
So maybe the problem isn't really the NIL but the transfer portal... getting paid is one thing, but they wouldn't be able to have all the power if they weren't also allowed to jump ship every time they didn't like how things were going. The Universities are not allowed to have anything to do with NIL. It’s all done through collectives that are completely independent of the schools.
If the players are going to be treated like professionals and getting paid, then they also should be fined when appropriate - just like professionals.
But the problem is the players getting paid have all the control now and face no consequences. The coaches are scared to hurt their little feelings anymore or they’ll transfer.
For example, There’s no limit to the amount of turnovers Jalen Milroe can commit, or no limit to stretches of brutal play in order to get him benched.
Because he controls the NIL that other players on the team receive. If he gets benched, they lay down….and have plainly stated the threat.
I believe there is clear racketeering going on with respect to NIL and the transfer portal.
I agree with you that Jeanty should win the Heisman but unfortunately, I don't think he's going to. Travis Hunter is the overwhelming betting favorite rn. Which I guess is fine, as I'd have him #2 behind Jeanty. Jeanty is going to be an immediate NFL star... can't wait to see what that kid does on Sundays. It's ironic. Since Dorsey left, until this season, UM usually had a very good defense. But they could never take advantage of it because they never had a QB the caliber of Ward(Not even close). They finally get a great QB but they don't have a good defense.
Ward is probably gonna skip the bowl game if UM doesn't make the playoff. That's another new bad thing in college sports. But at least there's a good reason behind this new bad thing. Yesterday might be the last we ever see him play in a UM uniform.
I think the current generation of college sports players are guinea pigs for NIL and the transfer portal. They're not set in stone. Whether that means they're done away with or just modified , they way they currently work won't necessarily be the way they always work. It's like the early days of anything. Alot of people had to die before they put seat belts in cars.
I don't expect Ward to win the Heisman. QBs put up rediculous stats every season, but what that Boise State RB did this special, especially since football has become very passing-centric. I'd be shocked if he didn't win it. Also, the Heisman voters have to give it to a non QB once in awhile so the haters can't say it's only a QB award. I'm one of those haters. It's not supposed to be won by QBs 95% of the time, let other positions win it more often.
Yup, clear and utter bs, it’s all about popularity and making money. Miami vs Notre Dame would have been a MUCH bigger storyline.I knew we were going to get ****ed over in favor of Bama. It was going to happen to some team. Incredible. Miami has 2 losses by a combined 9 points while Bama has 3 losses with two of them being to 6-6 teams. lol. Can’t make this garbage up.
Also in the same week, Miami drops 6 spots for losing on the road to an 8-3 team while OSU drops only 4 spots for losing at home to a 6-5 team. Would love for an explanation of that logic.
Miami needs to leave the ACC immediately. That conference needs to be disbanded. Just go join the SEC already.
CFP sucks. I said it last year as an FSU hater, that the way they got robbed was inexcusable. Teams are going to get robbed every year. CFP = SEC/Big Ten invitational. I will give the national champs ZERO props as I did last year.
They hate the Hurricanes, always have and it’s blatantly obvious, basically if you’re not in the SEC, you shouldn’t even play football cause your accomplishments won’t countI knew we were going to get ****ed over in favor of Bama.
