Why do they have to wait until halftime to make adjustments? They usually have plenty of time to make offensive adjustments while the defense is on the field, and vise versa. Maybe the sidelines is too chaotic and noisy a place to do that?

With this schedule, under last season's playoff format, if the Canes went 13-0 they would deserve the same fate as FSU(Which FSU didn't deserve). I don't remember FSU's schedule, but I know it wasn't this weak. But because there are 12 teams in the playoff now, CFB isn't really a beauty contest anymore, and they'll have the opposite problem thay they've had until now. A few teams will get in that didn't deserve to, which is better than the opposite. It'll be like college basketball I guess.

FSU got shafted last year specifically because their QB went down. The voting sportswriters even admitted it.

(Not that I cared as a Canes fan. As James May would say, "What a rotten bit of luck!")
 
Too bad the VT game isn't on Thursday night like it usually is. There's gonna be 30MPH winds in Miami Thursday night from Hurricane Helene. How much fun would that be?🙂 If the wind was blowing in the right direction, maybe you would have 70 yard FGs and 100 yard TD passes(In the air).😂

There's still gonna be 15 or 20MPH winds on Friday night, so it'll be a little interesting, but not as interesting as 30MPH. And there isn't gonna be much rain.

How is the wind gonna effect Wards passing game?

We shall see. Maybe a sloppy field and lots of turnovers
 
Just in case you're not in the know...

On Tuesday, the ACC recognized Ward for his impressive performance, solidifying his place in the Heisman race as Miami enters conference play.

Ward was named ACC Quarterback of the Week after throwing for a season-high 404 yards, marking the fourth consecutive game in which he surpassed 300 passing yards.

What challenges will Virginia Tech pose for our Canes tomorrow night?

I understand that they (Hokies) are not playing their best ball so far this season and are at a crossroads as a squad. It'll be any easy - on paper - win for us if we don't beat ourselves...not likely.

The offense is high-flying and electric for the No. 7 Miami, but they are also competing with No. 5 Ole Miss as the best offense in the country.

Each team averages over 600 yards of offense a game and is the only one to do it this season. Ole Miss averages nearly 700 while the Hurricanes average just over 600.

Both offenses have been productive but now will be the time for the Hurricanes to take over and play the best ball in their ACC tenure now with an undefeated season on the horizon.
 
What's wrong with me? I almost forgot the Canes are playing tonight. Tied? No freaking way!!
 
Ward has a fumble and an INT
I have not seen much of the games, just this one and the first one but Ward looks human this game.
He still has had some special plays but VT is playing them hard and this should continue to be a close game.
 
I hope that we make the needed adjustments by the second half. I want for us to really beat this team by a few scores.

He's also made some pretty special throws. Tougher game than expected.
